(Key Experiences)
1. Participated in the creation of APL’s legacy systems on booking and cargo tracking systems. Now
actively participating in the Remodel of the legacy systems turning into web-based systems.
2. Part of the team that set up the Bugo (Del Monte Phils) call that brought Del Monte Philippines & its
affiliates into the major list of customer base.
3. Implemented and managed the smooth transition of the whole Philippine documentations (BL
production) to the Regional Administration Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2002 ; Managed
another CS function migration to Chongqing, China with a record breaker of 2-month transition.
4. Introduced the initial E-Commerce facility to clients. Now, expanding clients’ onboarding on Inttra
and GTN to gain the advantage of web services and use of EDI for a paperless transmission of shipping
documents.
5. Invited as an official speaker-consultant at the APEC “Ports Development in the Philippines and
Neighboring Asian Countries” in October 2006.
6. Created remarkable ‘best in class’ Operations Team in the Philippine shipping industry. Gave a mark
for APL as a totally compliant and above-board member in the shipping industry.
7. Spearheaded a capex project that built APL-Davao a 1.5 hectare-container yard for APL in 2005 and
completed the facility with an Admin office, a 4-bay Maintenance & Repair shop & parts storage and
plugging facility with 140 access plugs. Expanded the Reefer Plugging CY in 2008 with the use of an
extension area, where 320 reefer plugs more were built through a second Capex that attained 86%
yard utilization, bringing in an earning of no less than $100k/wk of revenue from reefer storage &
plugging.
8. Improved Cebu CY by paving the grounds, putting in the right yard equipment and re-engineering the
yard flow which improved the truck turn-around time from 1hour to 30 mins & yard space utilization
by 15%.
4. 9. Collaborated with Subic Bay International Terminal Corp. on the transition to the new Terminal and
CY ; Involved in special projects outside of Liner
10. Teamed up with APL-Logistics in the set-up of Warehousing Management and Yard Management
systems for Del Monte Philippines.
