There isn't a specific group of people who despise these pageants, but most people in the world would say that focusing on physical appearances of
younger girls is not ideal, and it could lead to overconfidence and depression. Overconfidence can have these young girls thinking they're better than
everyone else, and depression has many worse–case scenarios. These people would agree that parents drench their daughters in spray tan, forcefully
pile ponds of make–up on their faces, and make them practice pageant walks and dance moves rather than, "letting them be a child." They blame the
parents for the initial participation of their daughters in beauty pageants and even blame them for influencing the child's behavior.

this, you will become a better listener and more able to communicate with others concerning subjects that might normally make you angry to the point
that you would no longer be able to carry on a working conversation with that individual. This will make you especially valuable in the management
industry where, as a rule, people will come to you with problems that need to be resolved.
It is important to listen carefully and to withhold personal judgement. This is especially true when the subject matter or the position taken by the
speaker is making you angry. In this circumstance, your interjections, if not thoroughly thought through, may just make the person defensive. Problems
can also arise if you are too nice and give a lot of positive comments. People like it when they are being praised. This can alter what the speaker is
saying. If you continue to give positive comments the speaker will continue to want more of them from you. If you want to find out what the speaker is
really thinking you need to listen and withhold evaluation.

How My Writing Has Improved
After this semester of English 102, at Bristol Community College I feel that I have gained the skill to articulate what I want to convey to the
reader in many ways. I don't just look at grammatical error, but instead I look for ways to make my sentences more effective and concise.
Nevertheless, I hope that this strategy will continue to help me improve my writing even further on in the future. My strong points as a reader
have also definitely improved after reading the poems and stories we experienced this semester. Writing has been an important form of expression
for me. I find myself to be very soft spoken and speaking verbally is usually difficult for me because I can't always seem to find the right words to
say. I feel that I am more expressive and have more control over what I want to say. While this semester progressed toward its end, I have learned
new writing skills and gradually learned how to engage with audiences. This skill was very useful in meeting my course goals in English 102. I

I think that many of the schools today merely try to prepare the students to move on to college and by doing so exclude the students who are gifted
with other abilities that are equally important and useful in society, even though those talents may not necessarily be something that can be refined
through a traditional four year college.
As a future teacher, I very strongly believe that students need to be shown practical applications of the concepts they are taught. For myself this is
especially notable in mathematical applications. As teachers we need to not just show how to work through a problem: we need to show why it works

Camping is a fun recreational activity that allows you to enjoy the outdoors, usually amidst all that Mother Nature has to offer. People go camping in
a forest, national park, in the woods, near a river or lake, and can stay there for one or more nights. There are private campgrounds as well that are
privately owned by people who encourage campers to come and enjoy the nature with them. Camping trips can be fun when organized properly.
There are many questions that you might want to ask as a new camper. Following is a list of common questions that every beginner for camping will

If you camp in wilderness, you will need to carry a tent, a cooler for your camping food and drinks, sleeping bags and pads, cooking supplies like
charcoal and spatula, kettle, cups, plates, spoons and a pot or two. You can buy all the camping gear in sports store or at Walmart. Don't buy expensive
equipment as you are not yet experienced in taking care of them.
If you camp at public campgrounds, there is a good chance that you will get a grill or a barbecue and all the cooking ingredients from the camp store.
Aside from that, you will have to carry the other necessities like clothes, tents, sleeping bags, from home with you.

Make sure that you wear full sleeves while camping. It is important to carry some sweaters with you so that you are protected in case it becomes
cold at night in the woods. It is better to take some extra change of clothes with you. Rain gear is also important, so be sure to bring a poncho and an
umbrella. You will also want to have plenty of extra socks; in case the ones you are wearing get wet.
