Creativity details about addressing question by another acceptable way. As for one organization, there will some new and tricky problem in new
market and we cannot address it by one usual way. Hence being creative is significant in one organization. Also, it will improve people to enhance their
self–worth and self–confidence if someone take creativity.
In my opinion, people benefit from creativity from following point:
–Response quickly to solution especially in creative industries like new technology or medicine areas.
–Improve efficiency and production of working and then set a new goal for in next time;
–Not detour but straight to point where question is;

Reflection About Sports
My life has consisted of many sports. Sports has been a part of my life for a while now every since I can remember. The sports I played throughout
the years has been baseball, football, soccer, and I ran track. Throughout the years I played these sports has been some challenging times and injuries
that have happened to me.
Injuries and challenges always have an impact on a athletes abilities and there physical and mental wanting to keep on playing. One challenge I had
playing some of these sports is the coaches. Some coaches you have through your high school or athletic career will help you and assist you. One
coach I had for track was the total opposite of that, instead of helping us, all she would do is criticize everything that a person would do wrong and
ignore the team if they had questions. She wouldn't help us resolve our problem and I found that as a challenge for me because if I needed help on
some tips for running, she would not help. How I responded to this situation is by talking to her about the ways she coaches. She didn't respond very
well to what I had to say but at least I stood up and said something. She learned that I didn't like how she was coaching and that's how I resolved my
situation with her. Many individuals tend to become uninterested, uncommitted, and unmotivated for many reasons. The reasons they have could be
resolved very easily. Some of the reasons I have heard throughout the years is that the training is too hard. Training is supposed to be hard, you aren't
going to be the best unless you train hard. Another complaint I have heard is that the coaches are mean. Some coaches are mean and some coaches are
mean for a reason. Some coaches that is the only way they know. Pushing athletes to the wall has been a coaching thought for many years and most
coaches I had, went by that mindset. The last reason I think people become uninterested in sports or physical activity is that there not getting any
results. The fact of the matter is; it is not just working out that's going to get you the results. There are many factors that go into progressing and getting
that result you want. Your diet has a lot to do with getting that result so you got to make sure you are eating right. Ways that

Badminton originated in Ancient Greece and Egypt, but they knew it as battledore and shuttlecock. At this time rules weren't written in hard ink, it
was just a game played by children for fun. The bat was called the battledore, and the birdie was known as the shuttlecock. Players were supposed to
hit the shuttlecock with the bat and keep it in the air as long as possible, and the object of the game was to keep it from touching the ground. Badminton
was very popular in India, called poona in the eighteen hundreds. This game also became popular in England, due to British soldiers bringing it from
India. This game was widely played by the duke and other high class people. When brought to England it was renamed badminton. Badminton got its
name because the Duke's house was called Badminton. Years later their was a dispute over whether the Indian or the British rules were correct,
because the rules weren't official. This led to the creation of a badminton organization , who created official rules for the badminton game. Members
included in the organization were England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Holland, Canada, New Zealand, and France, India was also an affiliate
in 1996. Since the program was established many tournaments have been played by common players and professionals. In addition both men and
women alike were allowed to participate in these badminton games. What started out as a game played by children and

I believe that playing a sport is important, not only for having a positive body image, but also for having fun outside of school and family, doing some
health exercise and sometimes also relaxing and don't think about problems.
I'm doing athletics for five years, the track is 10 minutes far from my house, there are a lot of my friends and it is cheap: these were the first things
that influenced me for choosing this sport. Now I'm doing it because I'm good at it and I'm happy when I run.
The importance of exercise for me is high because it contributes for live a healthy and happy life, and it reduces a lot the stress caused by school exams
or other factors. I like having a positive self–image because when I look at the mirror I feel good if I see that after exercising there are good results on
my body. I don't like to be concentrated when I play and in badminton you have to always look at the shuttlecock and be prepared to move fast to catch
it.
It is also important the cost, the location and the time available.
Structured sport is not cheap. For many families, the rising costs associated with sport mean that they can't afford to let their children to participate.
Some sports are also significantly cheaper than others, and this has been shown to influence parents' decisions about the type of sport in which they
enrol their children.
The decision about whether to play sport and which

My Interest In Badminton
I have had many different hobbies growing up, but only a few has remained an integral part of my life.
–Reading
I remember being brought to the public library as a child by my mother. Having free reign over the choices of books I could borrow, I can recall
emulating my older sister and choosing from the young adults section despite being in lower primary. Since I was reading books above my
standard, I met with many phrases that I could not comprehend. However, for each word I did not understand, I remember using a dictionary to find
out what it meant. I believe my characteristic of curiosity and wanting to acquire knowledge allowed me to build up a strong foundation in English.
In Secondary school, my class English teacher came up with a reading list of encouraged novels and words to read up on. I endeavoured to...show more

Having tried badminton only once in primary school, it was left to the back burner with other sports that was introduced aggressively in secondary
school such as captain ball and also because our physical education teachers focused on physical fitness due to compulsory NAPFA tests.
What sparked my interest in Badminton was watching a match between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei during the 2014 Asian Games. Watching both
highly skilled players trade a multitude of shots on the court with their attention and focus only narrowed down to the shuttlecock amazed me. The way
they could keep the audience fixated to their seats and riveted on their game left me in awe. Their ability and concentration influenced me to pick up
Badminton as my co–curricular activity in Junior College, despite having no prior experience with it. Luckily, I managed to pass the try–outs and
became a member of the Badminton CCA. Although I was technically weaker compared to my peers when it came to the intricacies of the play, I took
the additional effort and initiative to take up supplementary badminton lessons to improve my

INTRODUCTION: Badminton requires a high level of energy to quickly move around the court, deliver effective shots and sustain a match. Knowing
how this energy is generated is crucial. All other things being equal, the player with more stamina will most likely win a match in baminton. This is
because while good stroke skills, effective shot placements and fast footwork are important characteristics in a good player, fitness is necessary in
executing and sustaining these movements for the duration of a match. As a player's energy is depleted, his or her ability to perform also goes down.
The Nature of Badminton: Unlike marathon or jogging, moves in badminton vary from standing to slow and sudden actions. Predominantly, however,

and mixed pairs. A fast–paced sport, the aim of the game is to hit the shuttlecock––a small, feathered ball––over a net so that it touches the ground on
the opposing team's side of the court. Fitness can play an important part in your enjoyment and success in badminton. AEROBIC ENDURANCE:
Badminton matches can be quite long, so aerobic fitness is an important part of the sport. To develop your aerobic fitness, jog, cycle, swim or row
for 20 or more minutes at least three times a week. To ensure you get the most from your aerobic training, keep your heart rate between 60 percent and
90 percent of your maximum. ANAEROBIC ENDURANCE: Because of the start–stop nature of badminton, you will benefit from performing interval
training. Interval training consists of alternating between periods of high–intensity work and low–intensity recovery. For example, you might spring
for 30 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. This type of training simulates the ebb and flow of a badminton match. MUSCULAR ENDURANCE: During
a badminton match, you will be required to run, lunge, jump and sprint for the duration of the game. To achieve this you

Sports, a very popular past time today, have been around since ancient times. Greek Olympic Games featured events from chariot races, javelin

was even played to settle feuds between villages. With the development of the industrial revolution and the creation of the first public schools, sports
decreased in violence and were played more recreationally and constructively. Basketball was invented to help the youth in New England spend their

The experiences of failing and trying again provide a learning process that can translate to greater achievement in school. "A controlled
longitudinal study found that adolescents who participated in sports showed improved grade point averages, had increased attachment to school,
and were more likely to attend college" (Larson, Reed, and Sean Seepersad). The persistence children learn while playing sports will carry on in
other parts of life, such as learning in school, leading to continual success. While playing basketball, I began to grow more mentally and socially. I
stayed more active in the games and reacted faster; I would be ready to block a sudden dash to our hoop. In other activities, such as math, I began
solving equations quicker and was more focused. Also, as a child I was a quiet and shy. When playing the game, I could not just stand back; I had
to get into the action by challenging the ball or trying to get a pass. As my confidence developed, I became more bold and outgoing in other parts of
my life. Sports can be a unifying force, too. Parents of high school students who participate in sports have higher expectations for their children. They
will drive their children to work harder and achieve more potential. Girls find participation in sports to be a way to break gender stereotypes,
enhancing their sense of possibility. Also, playing team sports can minimize feelings of difference and isolation.

The Sport of Badminton
Badminton is a sport played with racquets and shuttlecocks. It is a very fun game, and if we use it to play it regularly, it is very healthy for the body.
Two players can play opposing each other or four players can play. 2 players on each side as a team opposing the other two as a team. This sport will
need you to go from side to side, and hit back the shuttlecock from whichever side it comes from. So this game has a lot movement and hand motion.
Badminton was first developed in India while the British were ruling. In the mid–1800, where it is said to be formed by British military officers that
were stationed there. This sport actually is very similar with three different sports that were similar. They are the games of battledore and shuttlecock,
Hanetsuki, and ball badminton. They were played and developed in different faraway countries. But they functioned in a different manner. It may a
coincidence that Japan, Tamil Nadu, and Britain played a game that was very similar. Anyhow, Badminton was formed from the early British game of
battledore and shuttlecock. They added a net to this early game and that is badminton. Then when some retired officers from India that were British
went back to England, they took the game with them. And British people started playing this game.
The Badminton House in Gloucestershire was owned by the Duke of Beaufort. He is the one that gave the name to this sport. We are unclear and don't
know why this name was given to this sport. In

Badminton: Shuttlecock and Racket
Badminton is a game that involves the use of a net, lightweight rackets, and a shuttlecock. Two or four players play it, which is played indoors, on a
marked–out area 44 ft (13.41 m) long by 17 ft (5.18 m) wide for the two–player game and 20 ft (6.10 m) wide for the four–player game. A net is fixed
across the middle of the court, with the top of the net set at 5 ft (1.52 m) from the ground at the centre and 5 ft 1 in (1.55 m) at the posts. The players
hit the shuttlecock back and forth over the net with the rackets. Only the serving side can win a point. A game is played to 15 points.
Techniques
Some basic skills that are needed to be a successful are:
В·A good grip
В·A good serve
В·A good variety of shots which includes:
Smash, drop shot,...show more content...
This location helps protect backhand and also helps the player move to the front corners of the court. A high clear shot is necessary for the opponent
to get to the back corners and then, of course, the shuttle flight will give you more time to get to the back corners. The racket is normally held about
waist high with its head up and square to the net just to the backhand side of your face. A good drill for footwork practice is to rally with another
player trying to hit the shuttle to the four corners–no kill shots. After each hit you should always try to return to the ready position.
In order to develop fast movements around a badminton court it is important to have minimum foot and floor contact time in order to develop speed.
Timing
Timing is everything. It's the difference between making and missing the smash. If you're not hitting the shuttle in the sweet spot of your racket, you
end up using more energy to clear, and will get less power out of your smashes.
Improvement of timing will come with experience and practice. One way to tell whether you're hitting the sweet spot is to check the wear on your
strings – they should be fraying the most around the centre of the racket head.
Warm–up
It's also important to warm up. Stretch your calves and groin. You'll be reaching out for shots, and the last thing you want is to pull a muscle.
Do some stretches on

Competitive Sports Essay
Did you know that sports and regular exercise provide physical and mental stress relief, which can help certain mental health disorders like
depression and anxiety. There has been a long disagreement about whether kids should be able to play sports or not. I believe that they should be able
to. I do know that sports can cause problems, but I believe the benefits overweigh these problems. Competitive sports can help deal with varieties of
these discomforts including physical, social, and mental health. In sports you can gain social skills, and make friends, while staying fit. Sports can
boost self–confidence. Also, sports keep kids healthy. I will be arguing that kids should be able to play competitive sports.

Take it from me, I used to and sometimes still do stress for gymnastics competitions. When I get on the floor and am ready to compete, I just think "I
have been doing this for months. There is no reason to be nervous. I just have to do my best and I will be happy." As a result, you will be less
stressed out, and can enjoy the sport you are passionate about.
My third reason is that sports keep kids healthy. Sports are a major benefit when it comes to physical health. If you are looking to exercise more, but
don't want to compete, there are other opportunities for you to choose such as martial arts, or yoga. Kids need physical activity everyday and
playing sports will fill that need. "Exercising everyday will increase their chance of being a healthy adult." (Mary L. Gavin, 2017) Although
injuries can happen while playing sports, I think the benefits such as life skills, are much more worth it when it comes to later life. On the other
hand, kids who play sports tend to stay more fit. Most kids don't have the motivation to work out themselves, and joining a sports team will keep
them working out. According to CNN's article "Team sports help keep teens fit", a study found that the kids who played on three or more sports
teams in a year, were 27% less likely to be overweight, and 39% less likely to be obese than those teens who did not play team sports. (Val

You might want to do some jogging for few minutes to get the heart beating so this will warm your muscles so when you play the game you won't

Dynamic stretches
Dynamic stretches are done so when you play any sports, so you won't injure you muscles and ligaments. Also warming–up these muscles rises the core
temperature and that is how it prevents any injuries. These stretches will help to develop the variety of motion around your joints. Stretches like high

Section II – Drive Shot
Skill Technique– The drive is a shot hit hard at a horizontal angle, typically near the sideline of the court, while the shuttlecock is about at the level of
the player between the shoulder and the knees (5). Keep racket arm up in front of the chest and spread weight evenly between the feet. In the forehand
drive, side step toward the shuttle, leading with your racket leg, pointing the racket toward the sideline (2). Lock the wrist and draw the racket back in
a sidearm motion. Then, put your weight on the racket leg, swing the racket forward, and unlock and flick wrist when contacting the shuttle. If the
shuttlecock is on the side opposite of the racket, either switch racket hands, or crossover with the racket–side leg and drive it backhanded.
Learning cues – Lead with racket leg and sidestep toward shuttle. Spread weight and swing sidearm. Flick wrist on contact
Teaching Styles – Have student get racket and shuttle cock, and face the wall, standing five feet back from it. Draw a horizontal line across the wall

Badminton : The Fastest Racket Sport
Badminton: The Fastest Racket Sport
Since its development about two thousand years ago, badminton sometimes called the "fastest racket sport" (Origins) has played a part in various
cultures on several continents (Badminton). The purpose of this technical description is to communicate a better, fuller understanding of badminton.
This sport can be played with either two or four players (How High) where the goal of each player in a game is to win a rally (Simple). This is done
by keeping the shuttlecock from hitting the ground on their side of the court by using the racket to hit the shuttlecock over the net and onto the ground
on their opponent's side of the court. While casual badminton players play outdoors, due to the shuttlecocks susceptibility to wind fluctuations
competitions always take place indoors (Simple).
Around two thousand years ago in Greece and Asia, the game of Battledore and Shuttlecock was being played (Origins). It consisted of a two players
repeatedly striking a shuttlecock with a sort of wooden bat in the attempt to keep it airborne for as long as possible. (History)
During the seventeenth century, it became a popular pastime of the European aristocracy. Later, in nineteenth century India, British officers were
exposed to a variation of this called "Poon" which added a net to the game. Intrigued, they returned home to England where it was introduced to society
in Gloucestershire by the Duke of Beaufort at his estate, Badminton (see Figure 1), from whence

History of Badminton Essay
History of Badminton Many Americans play baseball, basketball, soccer, or tennis. Many of them watch these sports on TV, and many buy tickets to

A Brief History of Badminton
A badminton like game was known in ancient Greece and Egypt – a game called battledore and shuttlecock – in which two players hit a feathered
shuttlecock back and forth with tiny rackets. The game was called "Poona" in India during the 18th Century. In the 1860s it was adopted by British
Army officers stationed in India. The officers took the game back to England, where it became a success at a party given by the Duke of Beaufort in
1873 at his estate called "Badminton" in Gloucestershire.
A brief history of Badminton

By the 16th Century Battledore had evolved into a children's game and over the next century became popular with the upper classes in Europe. In
mainland Europe it was known by its French name 'jeu de volant'.
1800s
By the mid 19th Century a game called 'poona' had developed in India that more closely resembled modern–day badminton.
British Army officers who were stationed in India began picking up the game, recording some basic rules and were responsible for bringing it back to
England.
Around the same time the Duke of Beauford began introducing it to the noble and royal society at his estate in Gloucestershire, England.
This estate was called Badminton House.
It is suggested that here the idea of putting a string between the players was born, along with trying to hit the shuttlecock away from your opponent.
Within a few years the Bath Badminton Club had been formed and the rules as they are today began to be developed. And the game had a new name
–Badminton!
Clubs began appearing all round the country over the next few years and in 1893 there was a meeting of 14 of the most prominent in Southsea in
Hampshire.
Soon after that meeting, the first national badminton association was founded and the first set of rules were formalised.
As the sport went from the genteel affair that it had been to a more competitive one, the first tournaments

For example, discuss how the social environment of a badminton club impacts participation decisions. Or how developing badminton skills could impact self-image and identity. - Consider including a paragraph on your personal analysis and decision. What specifically attracts or deters you from the badminton club based on Figueroa's levels? This makes it more personal

  • 4. Reflection About Sports My life has consisted of many sports. Sports has been a part of my life for a while now every since I can remember. The sports I played throughout the years has been baseball, football, soccer, and I ran track. Throughout the years I played these sports has been some challenging times and injuries that have happened to me. Injuries and challenges always have an impact on a athletes abilities and there physical and mental wanting to keep on playing. One challenge I had playing some of these sports is the coaches. Some coaches you have through your high school or athletic career will help you and assist you. One coach I had for track was the total opposite of that, instead of helping us, all she would do is criticize everything that a person would do wrong and ignore the team if they had questions. She wouldn't help us resolve our problem and I found that as a challenge for me because if I needed help on some tips for running, she would not help. How I responded to this situation is by talking to her about the ways she coaches. She didn't respond very well to what I had to say but at least I stood up and said something. She learned that I didn't like how she was coaching and that's how I resolved my situation with her. Many individuals tend to become uninterested, uncommitted, and unmotivated for many reasons. The reasons they have could be resolved very easily. Some of the reasons I have heard throughout the years is that the training is too hard. Training is supposed to be hard, you aren't going to be the best unless you train hard. Another complaint I have heard is that the coaches are mean. Some coaches are mean and some coaches are mean for a reason. Some coaches that is the only way they know. Pushing athletes to the wall has been a coaching thought for many years and most coaches I had, went by that mindset. The last reason I think people become uninterested in sports or physical activity is that there not getting any results. The fact of the matter is; it is not just working out that's going to get you the results. There are many factors that go into progressing and getting that result you want. Your diet has a lot to do with getting that result so you got to make sure you are eating right. Ways that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Physical Fitness : Ancient Greece And Egypt Emma Shepard Mrs. Nagel Physical Fitness 2 December 2016 Badminton originated in Ancient Greece and Egypt, but they knew it as battledore and shuttlecock. At this time rules weren't written in hard ink, it was just a game played by children for fun. The bat was called the battledore, and the birdie was known as the shuttlecock. Players were supposed to hit the shuttlecock with the bat and keep it in the air as long as possible, and the object of the game was to keep it from touching the ground. Badminton was very popular in India, called poona in the eighteen hundreds. This game also became popular in England, due to British soldiers bringing it from India. This game was widely played by the duke and other high class people. When brought to England it was renamed badminton. Badminton got its name because the Duke's house was called Badminton. Years later their was a dispute over whether the Indian or the British rules were correct, because the rules weren't official. This led to the creation of a badminton organization , who created official rules for the badminton game. I believe that playing a sport is important, not only for having a positive body image, but also for having fun outside of school and family, doing some health exercise and sometimes also relaxing and don't think about problems. I'm doing athletics for five years, the track is 10 minutes far from my house, there are a lot of my friends and it is cheap: these were the first things that influenced me for choosing this sport. Now I'm doing it because I'm good at it and I'm happy when I run. The importance of exercise for me is high because it contributes for live a healthy and happy life, and it reduces a lot the stress caused by school exams or other factors. I like having a positive self–image because when I look at the mirror I feel good if I see that after exercising there are good results on my body. I don't like to be concentrated when I play and in badminton you have to always look at the shuttlecock and be prepared to move fast to catch it. It is also important the cost, the location and the time available. Structured sport is not cheap. For many families, the rising costs associated with sport mean that they can't afford to let their children to participate. My Interest In Badminton I have had many different hobbies growing up, but only a few has remained an integral part of my life. –Reading I remember being brought to the public library as a child by my mother. Having free reign over the choices of books I could borrow, I can recall emulating my older sister and choosing from the young adults section despite being in lower primary. Since I was reading books above my standard, I met with many phrases that I could not comprehend. However, for each word I did not understand, I remember using a dictionary to find out what it meant. I believe my characteristic of curiosity and wanting to acquire knowledge allowed me to build up a strong foundation in English. In Secondary school, my class English teacher came up with a reading list of encouraged novels and words to read up on. I endeavoured to...show more content... Having tried badminton only once in primary school, it was left to the back burner with other sports that was introduced aggressively in secondary school such as captain ball and also because our physical education teachers focused on physical fitness due to compulsory NAPFA tests. What sparked my interest in Badminton was watching a match between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei during the 2014 Asian Games. Watching both highly skilled players trade a multitude of shots on the court with their attention and focus only narrowed down to the shuttlecock amazed me. The way they could keep the audience fixated to their seats and riveted on their game left me in awe. Their ability and concentration influenced me to pick up Badminton as my co–curricular activity in Junior College, despite having no prior experience with it. Luckily, I managed to pass the try–outs and became a member of the Badminton CCA. Although I was technically weaker compared to my peers when it came to the intricacies of the play, I took the additional effort and initiative to take up supplementary badminton lessons to improve my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. INTRODUCTION: Badminton requires a high level of energy to quickly move around the court, deliver effective shots and sustain a match. Knowing how this energy is generated is crucial. All other things being equal, the player with more stamina will most likely win a match in baminton. This is because while good stroke skills, effective shot placements and fast footwork are important characteristics in a good player, fitness is necessary in executing and sustaining these movements for the duration of a match. As a player's energy is depleted, his or her ability to perform also goes down. The Nature of Badminton: Unlike marathon or jogging, moves in badminton vary from standing to slow and sudden actions. AIM OF AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC ENDURANCE: Badminton is a popular sport that is played by individuals, same –sex and mixed pairs. A fast–paced sport, the aim of the game is to hit the shuttlecock––a small, feathered ball––over a net so that it touches the ground on the opposing team's side of the court. Fitness can play an important part in your enjoyment and success in badminton. AEROBIC ENDURANCE: Badminton matches can be quite long, so aerobic fitness is an important part of the sport. To develop your aerobic fitness, jog, cycle, swim or row for 20 or more minutes at least three times a week. To ensure you get the most from your aerobic training, keep your heart rate between 60 percent and 90 percent of your maximum. ANAEROBIC ENDURANCE: Because of the start–stop nature of badminton, you will benefit from performing interval training. Interval training consists of alternating between periods of high–intensity work and low–intensity recovery. For example, you might spring for 30 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. This type of training simulates the ebb and flow of a badminton match. MUSCULAR ENDURANCE: During a badminton match, you will be required to run, lunge, jump and sprint for the duration of the game. In addition, a game similar to soccer was played in China by the second century BC. In England, a violent rugby type game was even played to settle feuds between villages. With the development of the industrial revolution and the creation of the first public schools, sports decreased in violence and were played more recreationally and constructively. Basketball was invented to help the youth in New England spend their energy in the winter months. Since the early 1900's sports have been a key experience in the United States ("History of Sports"). "A controlled longitudinal study found that adolescents who participated in sports showed improved grade point averages, had increased attachment to school, and were more likely to attend college" (Larson, Reed, and Sean Seepersad). The persistence children learn while playing sports will carry on in other parts of life, such as learning in school, leading to continual success. While playing basketball, I began to grow more mentally and socially. I stayed more active in the games and reacted faster; I would be ready to block a sudden dash to our hoop. In other activities, such as math, I began solving equations quicker and was more focused. Also, as a child I was a quiet and shy. When playing the game, I could not just stand back; I had to get into the action by challenging the ball or trying to get a pass. As my confidence developed, I became more bold and outgoing in other parts of my life. Sports can be a unifying force, too. Parents of high school students who participate in sports have higher expectations for their children. They will drive their children to work harder and achieve more potential. Girls find participation in sports to be a way to break gender stereotypes, enhancing their sense of possibility. Also, playing team sports can minimize feelings of difference and isolation. • 13. The Sport of Badminton Badminton is a sport played with racquets and shuttlecocks. It is a very fun game, and if we use it to play it regularly, it is very healthy for the body. Two players can play opposing each other or four players can play. 2 players on each side as a team opposing the other two as a team. This sport will need you to go from side to side, and hit back the shuttlecock from whichever side it comes from. So this game has a lot movement and hand motion. Badminton was first developed in India while the British were ruling. In the mid–1800, where it is said to be formed by British military officers that were stationed there. This sport actually is very similar with three different sports that were similar. They are the games of battledore and shuttlecock, Hanetsuki, and ball badminton. They were played and developed in different faraway countries. But they functioned in a different manner. It may a coincidence that Japan, Tamil Nadu, and Britain played a game that was very similar. Anyhow, Badminton was formed from the early British game of battledore and shuttlecock. They added a net to this early game and that is badminton. Then when some retired officers from India that were British went back to England, they took the game with them. And British people started playing this game. The Badminton House in Gloucestershire was owned by the Duke of Beaufort. He is the one that gave the name to this sport. We are unclear and don't know why this name was given to this sport. • 14. Badminton: Shuttlecock and Racket Badminton is a game that involves the use of a net, lightweight rackets, and a shuttlecock. Two or four players play it, which is played indoors, on a marked–out area 44 ft (13.41 m) long by 17 ft (5.18 m) wide for the two–player game and 20 ft (6.10 m) wide for the four–player game. A net is fixed across the middle of the court, with the top of the net set at 5 ft (1.52 m) from the ground at the centre and 5 ft 1 in (1.55 m) at the posts. The players hit the shuttlecock back and forth over the net with the rackets. Only the serving side can win a point. A game is played to 15 points. This location helps protect backhand and also helps the player move to the front corners of the court. A high clear shot is necessary for the opponent to get to the back corners and then, of course, the shuttle flight will give you more time to get to the back corners. The racket is normally held about waist high with its head up and square to the net just to the backhand side of your face. A good drill for footwork practice is to rally with another player trying to hit the shuttle to the four corners–no kill shots. After each hit you should always try to return to the ready position. In order to develop fast movements around a badminton court it is important to have minimum foot and floor contact time in order to develop speed. Timing Timing is everything. It's the difference between making and missing the smash. If you're not hitting the shuttle in the sweet spot of your racket, you end up using more energy to clear, and will get less power out of your smashes. Improvement of timing will come with experience and practice. One way to tell whether you're hitting the sweet spot is to check the wear on your strings – they should be fraying the most around the centre of the racket head. Warm–up It's also important to warm up. Stretch your calves and groin. You'll be reaching out for shots, and the last thing you want is to pull a muscle.

Take it from me, I used to and sometimes still do stress for gymnastics competitions. When I get on the floor and am ready to compete, I just think "I have been doing this for months. There is no reason to be nervous. I just have to do my best and I will be happy." As a result, you will be less stressed out, and can enjoy the sport you are passionate about. My third reason is that sports keep kids healthy. Sports are a major benefit when it comes to physical health. If you are looking to exercise more, but don't want to compete, there are other opportunities for you to choose such as martial arts, or yoga. Kids need physical activity everyday and playing sports will fill that need. "Exercising everyday will increase their chance of being a healthy adult." (Mary L. Gavin, 2017) Although injuries can happen while playing sports, I think the benefits such as life skills, are much more worth it when it comes to later life. On the other hand, kids who play sports tend to stay more fit. Most kids don't have the motivation to work out themselves, and joining a sports team will keep them working out. According to CNN's article "Team sports help keep teens fit", a study found that the kids who played on three or more sports teams in a year, were 27% less likely to be overweight, and 39% less likely to be obese than those teens who did not play team sports. Badminton : The Fastest Racket Sport Badminton: The Fastest Racket Sport Since its development about two thousand years ago, badminton sometimes called the "fastest racket sport" (Origins) has played a part in various cultures on several continents (Badminton). The purpose of this technical description is to communicate a better, fuller understanding of badminton. This sport can be played with either two or four players (How High) where the goal of each player in a game is to win a rally (Simple). This is done by keeping the shuttlecock from hitting the ground on their side of the court by using the racket to hit the shuttlecock over the net and onto the ground on their opponent's side of the court. While casual badminton players play outdoors, due to the shuttlecocks susceptibility to wind fluctuations competitions always take place indoors (Simple). Around two thousand years ago in Greece and Asia, the game of Battledore and Shuttlecock was being played (Origins). It consisted of a two players repeatedly striking a shuttlecock with a sort of wooden bat in the attempt to keep it airborne for as long as possible. (History) During the seventeenth century, it became a popular pastime of the European aristocracy. Later, in nineteenth century India, British officers were exposed to a variation of this called "Poon" which added a net to the game. Intrigued, they returned home to England where it was introduced to society in Gloucestershire by the Duke of Beaufort at his estate, Badminton (see Figure 1), from whence Get more content on HelpWriting.net

British Army officers who were stationed in India began picking up the game, recording some basic rules and were responsible for bringing it back to England. Around the same time the Duke of Beauford began introducing it to the noble and royal society at his estate in Gloucestershire, England. This estate was called Badminton House. Within a few years the Bath Badminton Club had been formed and the rules as they are today began to be developed. And the game had a new name –Badminton!
