The actress and actors
names at the top of
the poster.
Used the idea of an
eye with a reflection.
I have copied the title

capital letters to stand

Different fonts used on the
posters and different font sizes.
A wider variation of
colour’s used on
my poster e.g. red
The eye has been
edited In a different
way instead of it
just looking like a
direct reflection,
it looks like the
reflection of a
camera flash on
the victim.
Different colour title and a different positioning of the title.
I have used a gradient around the edge of the poster to create a dark/creepy
look whereas the other poster has the gradient directly around the eye.
4. CHALLENGE
I have used a landscape layout whereas the
other poster has a portrait layout.
I used a tagline
on my poster.
I have added a
red tinge to the
eye on my
poster and a
camera flash.
I have smudged
around the eye
to create a
wispy look making it a darker
effect for the poster.
5. USE
Masthead in white, in
bold capital letters that
Is at the top of the page
and fills the whole width.
Magazine issue number
and date in between
one of the letters in the
masthead.
Same sort of colour
scheme with the red,
white, black and grey.
The barcode in the
bottom right hand corner.
6. DEVELOP Both medium close up Shots but Total
Films image fills the page whereas I have
shown more of the background to show
off more of the text and background. So
they are positioned differently .

whereas the other
magazine is for promoting
different covers.
My slug line has a
background to draw more
attention to it.
My cover is more busy as the emphasis on the
Total Film cover is more on the image.
7. CHALLENGE
I have used a tagline and
positioned it under my
masthead.
I have my image in colour
whereas the other is in
black and white.
I have used drop shadow
on my title to show the
films genre.
My cover is busier with more story lines.
8. USE
MPAA Message
Distribution company logo
Use of subtitles. Production company
logo.
Use of a montage to build tension by using quick shots and jump cuts.
9. USE
Both unspecific with the release date.
Use of an establishing shot in the first half of the trailer.
The last image is of the victim and the last sound is a scream
