2. The purpose of a title sequence is that it creates
a moment of anticipation, which draws the
audience in. A title sequence is also a precious
moment of a film, it entertains the audience
and it’s aesthetically striking. It relates to the
story being told film editors state: “title is a of
the movie, and the movie can’t exist without
the title sequence,” this demonstrates the
importance of a title sequence in films.
3. The text in Zombieland was used differently in
this film than others; this was done by bringing
the type into the film in an integrated
way, they had the type interacting and part of
the scenes without over powering images. The
text uses slow motion shots to show story, and
zombie all around the country, so that audience
get a clear idea of the story.
4. In the title sequence the designer tries to
emotionally engage with audience by showing that
there is love and it does exist, it’s also shown
through the still images and fireworks used;
putting the images inside darkness and
lightness, symbolises the journey of love. The
initial plan for the title sequence was to add the
fireworks at the end, but the director wanted them
more out of focus, and the decided to take the lens
off the camera, doing so the fireworks gave
imagery of bouquets, which the editor had edited
by himself. He also found music, that was not
only rhythmic but also rhythmic to the film itself.
