In our webcast series "Leaders for Humanity" we engage with distinguished thought leaders who are passionate about human-centric change, bridge theory and practice in their work, and are willing to provide guidance and personal wisdom to our #GoodOrganisations Inquiry. In "Socratic Dialogues" we examine three critical questions together: a) what is good? b) how can we craft good organisations? c) how can we as leaders or individuals become good and contribute?

Long and Winding Road?
3. For decades, leaders have been trying to fix the mess they
have created. Yet, despite numerous initiatives, from
Human Potential to Agility, the suffering, inequality and
damaging of our planet appears to continue. Hence we
started setting sails to find better solutions. In the focus is
the quest for ethical businesses that enable a "good
society".
In a nutshell, our exploration is focused on bridging morality,
psychology and management science to understand how to
craft ethical businesses that enable a "good society". We
believe that “organisational goodness" is critical and can be
operationalized on three levels, by: (a) the organization as a
virtuous actor in society and ecosystem, (b) the
organization as a container for collective flourishing through
community enablement and virtuous practices (c) the
organization as a trustee for authentic and creative self-
expression, personal (moral) development and individual
thriving.

“Building Better Businesses:
Pioneering New Ways To Organise”
The paradigm is that an organization is similar to
an organism in that the inner biology of the
organism operates autonomously to sustain its
health. This includes adapting to change, enabling
employees to bring all their skills to the
organization and to do so without direct
leadership.
Self-management: suggests a system based on
peer relationships with no need for hierarchy,
consensus, nor central command and control
Evolutionary purpose: is the idea to follow the
natural evolution of how the organization grows
Wholeness: is about enabling employees to
present their full self rather than just their work
