PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
This chapter contains the information necessary to prepare the scope for operation. This includes un-
packing, examination for damage, and batteries installation.
a. Unpacking
The following steps must be accomplished prior to each mission where the sight is used.
1. Open carrying case, remove the scope and check contents for completeness.
2. Inspect the scope for obvious evidence of damage to optical surfaces, body, eyecups, operation
buttons, etc. Ensure that all optical surfaces are clean and ready for use. Clean with lens tissue.
b. Installation of Batteries
The X-Sight HD will operate with four AA batteries type.
Install AA batteries as follows:
1. Remove the battery cap by unscrewing it counter
clockwise.
2. Insert batteries as shown.
3. Replace battery cap into the housing. Screw clock-
wise until finger tight. Do not over tighten as it will be
difficult to remove the next time you replace batteries.
c. Ports and and their using
NOTE: You must have an SD card inserted in the device in order to be able to update the scope
with the latest firmware as well as utilize the WiFi mode.
X-Sight HD has Micro SD, Micro USB and MicroHDMI ports.
Insert MicroSD card as follows:
1. Remove X-Sight HD has Micro SD, Micro USB and MicroHDMI ports cap by unscrewing it counter
clockwise. Assure that the X-Sight power is turned OFF before inserting the card into the slot.
2. Insert Micro SD card as shown.
3. Replace port cap into the housing. Screw clockwise until finger tight. Do not over tighten as it will
be difficult to remove.
NOTE
1.There is only one correct direction to insert the Micro SD card. Do not force the card into the slot as it may
damage both the camera and the Micro SD card. Insert the card, as indicated.
2. A new Micro SD card should be formatted before using.
OPERATING
MOUNTING
1. Slightly loosen the fixing screws on the 7/8” weaver mount built into the scope.
2. Place the scope on the weaver rail of the fire arm.
3. Tighten the fixing screws.

MOUNTING SYSTEM
The ATN Night Vision Riflescopes Mounting
System allows to change the position of
the riflescope flexibly on the weapon in
relation to a shooter in combination with
the fixed positions already available on the
weaver rail. For this purpose in the base of
the mounting bracket there is a rail with a
fixing projection. There are two grooves in
the mounting bracket for mounting this rail.
Besides it is possible to change the position
of the riflescope additionally by 1/3 of inch.
For doing this one needs to about-face the
rail.
To change the position of the riflescope on the weaver rail additionally follow the steps
mentioned below:
1. Unscrew the two screws, which attach the rail to the mounting bracket.
2. Take the rail out of the groove.
3. About-face the rail in case of necessity.
4. Place the rail into another groove.
5. Fix the rail with the two screws.
NOTE: If the rail does not come out easily, tighten one of the removed screws into the threaded
aperture in the middle of the fixing projection of the rail. Rotate this screw, which will in turn push
the rail out from the groove.
CONTROL
This section contains operating procedures for using the X-Sight as weapon sight. Prior to
operating the sight, make certain that all the steps in “Preparation for operation”, have been
read and performed.
1. TURNING ON
Open the objective lens cover. The objective lens cover protects the monocular from inadver-
tent exposure to extremely high levels of radiant flux. Never leave the sight with the objective
lens cover off. To turn the unit press POWER button.
2. MENU SETS
To access the settings, you need to double press ENTER. After that we get to the shortcuts

FOCUSING
Model X-Sight HD 3-12 has a fixed focal length. Model
X-Sight HD 5-18 focuses as follows:
To focus the scope you need to adjust the diopter first.
Simply turn the diopter clockwise until it stops. Then
concentrate on any object and slowly turn the diopter
back counter clockwise until the grain in the image is
sharp.
You scope has ability to focus either long range or
short.
Focus the front lens by rotating the ring until the im-
age and the grain are both sharp. When you are in the
low-light conditions and the daylight filter is off you may focus the front lens to receive a sharp
image, the diopter should not be adjusted.

OPERATION EXTENSIBILITY
There is Picatinny rail on the body of the scope for additional lighting, laser and other mission
critical tools.
LONG RANGE 850 mW INFRA-RED ILLUMINATOR
Infra-red (IR) Illuminators are common for night vision technology. The IR light greatly
enhances the performance of your device, while remaining almost totally invisible to the naked
eye. Staying in the dark, switch on your night vision device. If the visibility is low, you may use
ATN IR850 to improve the situation. Still, you should remember that the IR illuminator is just a
source of infrared light so the greater is the chosen range of observation, the lesser its bright-
ness becomes.

The IR850 illuminator has a control panel with two buttons. To switch the IR illumina-
tor on/off press “+” and “-” buttons simultaneously. When the IR illuminator is switched on
you can see the green LED lit on the back side of IR850. By pushing the buttons “+” and
“-” you may adjust the IR brightness.
The IR beam is focusable to change the field of coverage. To change the beam width slightly
turn the IR lens.
You may need adjust the focusing of the IR beam to
change the field of coverage. Do it by slightly rotating the
IR lens. The windage and elevation screws help adjust
the direction of the IR beam from the IR850 in order to
focus on the scene observed in the viewfinder of your
NVD. Use the included Allen wrench to rotate the adjust-
ing screws until the IR beam is centered. Please remem-
ber the adjustments should be performed under night
light conditions only.
You can change the position of the IR control panel to
meet your your needs. The wrench that is included in the
set, is used to loosen the nut located on the body of the
IR. Rotate the IR to the desired position. Tighten the nut
with the wrench to secure the new position.
