Media Preliminary Task - Script
The Shadow Man
Scene:
A long, dark corridor with no site of anyone. All of a sudden*, a mysterious man appears in
the middle of the corridor. He slowly starts walking down the corridor, heading to the door
at the end. The man, NATHAN HODD, approaches the door as the camera focuses on his
footsteps. He opens the door and walks across the room. It is pitch dark. All of a sudden, a
lamp is turned on next to the table.
Joey: Nathan…. I’ve been expecting you.
Nathan: (sweat dripping down his face) sorry, sir.
Joey: (stands up) Sorry isn’t good enough.
(Joey approaches Nathan and towers above him)
Joey: This better not happen again. I have better things to deal with.
Nathan: Sorry… sir.
Joey: Anyway… did you bring the package!?
Nathan: What package…
Joey: The package you were supposed to bring to me.
(Joey sits back down)
Nathan: …
Joey: Come on… give me the package.
Nathan: I don’t… have anything
Joey: WHAT!
(Joey reaches into his pocket)
Nathan: (freezes) please, sir. I didn’t know there was a package.
Joey: That is why I hired you.
(Joey slowly brings his hand out of his pocket)
Nathan: Please, please. Don’t do it! I didn’t know!
Joey: I’m sorry… but if you don’t have what I need, you are no use to me!?
(Screen blacks out… gun shot heard)
