10. How can you Reduce Risk in Your Organization?
Abila MIP Software Can Help if You Let It
1. Create and use individual user IDs
1. Use organization rights to create internal controls
2. Change MIP passwords frequently
1. Options > System Preferences can make that mandatory
3. Audit Trail in the system ( no deleting posted sessions)
4. Set up Advanced Organization Audit
5. Set up User Alerts
11. Set up Alerts Server
Abila MIP Alerts Server – Install
Complete the following steps to install Abila MIP Alerts on a web server.
1. After reviewing the provided documentation, select the Setup Alerts tab.
2. Select the Begin Alerts Installation Process option. The system begins extracting the
setup.exe file.
The system verifies the Microsoft .NET Framework and Internet Information Services (IIS) versions.
If your web server does not have the latest versions, the Abila MIP Alerts installation wizard
cannot continue. You must exit the wizard and restart it after you install the .NET Framework
version 4.5.2
12. Set up Alerts Server
•The Alerts Server install will require Windows 7 or higher or Server
2008 R2 or higher.
•Windows 7 and 8 machines have a limitation within IIS that will
only allow 10 concurrent users connecting to IIS at a time. This
means that the users will not be able to log into MIP once that limit
has been reached. It is recommended to install Alerts on Server
2008 R2 or higher to avoid this IIS limitation.
Notifications can be set up to provide alerts within the software or
via email
* Install the Alerts Server by browsing to:
MIP Share/Setup/SubInstalls/MIPAlerts14_6_SelfExtract.exe
