A urinary tract infection can affect
any woman at any age, causing painful, frequent
urination, blood in the urine, fever and other un-
comfortable symptoms. Unhealthy bacteria is
most often the cause of UTIs, but they can also
be the result of urinary stones or a tumor. Raw
garlic, which has been used for centuries as
an herbal antibiotic, may be helpful in treating
urinary tract infections. However, if the infection
persists or is accompanied by high fever you
should visit your doctor.
 Make a cup of garlic tea by mashing two
cloves of garlic and
adding 8 oz. of hot water. Allow the tea to
steep for five
minutes before consuming. Drink three
cups per day until
symptoms disappear.
Treat with urgency as these symptoms
can worsen and pain will increase. See
your doctor if symptoms persist, you
Eternally: relieves toothache, garlic oil relieves
earache, as a poultice it can bring relief from
congestion or infection.
Internally: Acts in the same way as Vitamin E. It is
an excellent anti-oxidant and antibiotic. Helps in
bacterial infections of the digestive tract. Benefits
circulation and purifies the blood stream. Causes a
small but significant decrease in Blood Pressure.
Garlic possess antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal
properties allowing it to stand against all infec-
tions. Skin conditions caused by bacteria, virus,
fungi or yeast can be treated by rubbing raw
chopped garlic on the affected area.
Garlic is a :
 Natural antioxidant- (Antioxidant a substance
as Vita C or E that removes potentially
damaging agents in a living organism.
 It is Antispasmodic
 It is an Antibiotic- It boosts the immune sys-
tem and fights disease.
Garlic
How Is It Used?
Whilst some folklore talks of applying gar-
lic externally it is unlikely that this would provide
any immediate relief. Most traditional uses of gar-
lic to alleviate the pain of a toothache suggest
crushing it (to release the allicin) and placing it
inside the mouth, right next to the affected tooth.
Sometimes the garlic is used in conjunction with
other herbal ingredients, most usually cloves or
clove oil.
Remember that crushed garlic is very
strong and can
cause skin irritation - use with caution.
Garlic possesses a number of active components
that make it an effective health treatment. Allin,
allicin, allinase and several unique sulfur com-
pounds present in garlic give the herb its potent
medical affects. These elements make garlic a
powerful antibiotic, anti-viral and a fungicide.
As such, garlic is considered a “superfood”
capable of treating a range of conditions.
With its wide range of applications, garlic has pur-
poses that extend far beyond culinary creations.
Garlic is a potent herb with a variety of active com-
pounds that reduce inflammation, fight infection and
regulate the cardiovascular system.
