7. China, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and
Vietnam are dumping more plastics than the rest
of the world (Ocean Conservancy, 2017).
Hongkong consumed about 5.2 million plastic
bottles everyday (Green Earth, 2017).
9. Philippines generates about
35,000 tons of garbage
daily, and more than 8,600
tons per day in Metro
Manila (Asian Development
Bank, 2017).
45% of Metro Manila’s
garbage are not properly
disposed (Manila Times,
2017).
14. The researcher recommends the following to the school administrators,
teachers and students in the practice of ecological solid waste management:
1. The school administrators must strictly implement RA 9003 of 2000 or
Ecological Solid Waste Management Program
2. The classroom advisers or teachers must provide two trash bins in every
classroom such as biodegradable and non-bio degradable materials.
3. There must be a program that would ignite the students to practice the
reduce, reuse and recycle
4. Students must bring water and viand containers to reduce the plastic
bottles in the school.
