4. #1. BATTERIES OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE
● An electric-vehicle battery (EVB) (also known as a traction battery) is a
battery used to power the electric motors of a battery electric vehicle (BEV) or
hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). These batteries are usually rechargeable
(secondary) batteries, and are typically lithium-ion batteries. These batteries
are specifically designed for a high ampere-hour (or kilowatt-hour)
capacity.Electric-vehicle batteries differ from starting, lighting, and ignition
(SLI) batteries as they are designed to give power over sustained periods of
time and are deep-cycle batteries. Batteries for electric vehicles are
characterized by their relatively high power-to-weight ratio, specific energy
and energy density; smaller, lighter batteries are desirable because they
reduce the weight of the vehicle and therefore improve its performance.
Compared to liquid fuels, most current battery technologies have much lower
specific energy, and this often impacts the maximum all-electric range of the

1.DC Series Motor
2.Brushless DC Motor
3.Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM)
4.Three Phase AC Induction Motors
5.Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM)
7. #3 THERMAL SYSTEM
● . A thermal system is a multipart assembly of coupled components (some of them thermal),
showing a common structured behaviour; e.g. a refrigerator is a combination of pipes,
compressor, electric motor, heat exchangers, valves, insulation, casing, doors, lamp, etc.,
interacting to a common goal of cold production within
8. #4. TRANSMISSION
● Electric vehicle transmission in electric vehicle is used to transfer the
mechanical power from the electric traction motor to the wheels. Majority of
the electric vehicles are installed with single speed transmission as they are
enough for efficient working in today’s date
9. #5.MOTOR DRIVE
The BLDC Motor Drive
● All of today’s hybrid vehicles use a BLDC motor. Green car manufacturers
often prefer BLDC motors over the alternatives because the peak point
efficiency is higher and rotor cooling is simpler. The motors can also operate
at “unity power factor,” meaning the drive can operate at its maximum
efficiency levels.
10. #6.AUXILIARY BATTERY
● Modern vehicles with CO2 reduction technologies, high levels of specification,
and new electronic driver aids may feature an auxiliary battery alongside the
main vehicle starter battery or high voltage system battery on Hybrid and
electric vehicles. Auxiliary batteries vary in size and specification dependent
on the demands placed on it by the vehicle electrical system and can be used
as a safety back-up to support the main battery when required or to provide
voltage for specific vehicle systems all of the time.
11. #7.REDUCER
● A reducer adjusts the number of revolutions by the motor and conveys those
revolutions to the tires (drive shaft). The function of the reducer is equivalent
to a conventional transmission.
