Essay On Being A True Friend
A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. Having friends is easy but being a true friend is not always easy. To be a true
friend firstly you need to keep yours promises. Do not make a promise that you not going to keep. Because if you do not keep your promises, your
friends will definitely start to loss confident in you. If you promise your friend to go with her to the store, if you just cannot go, give your friend a
gift and tell him or her sorry. Secondly be dependable. Being dependable is one of the most important aspects of being a true friend. If you are a true
friend who is dependable, your friend call on you most especially in hard times. Thirdly be honest. Honesty is the fairness and straightforwardness of

everything seem all right. Motivation is a strong tool I use to go further in life and to achieve my dreams. I was failing my math class so I had to

What is a Friend? Essay
What is a friend? A friend is someone who supports you, sympathizes with you, or patronizes a group. An easily definition of that would be a person
you know, like and trust.
In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles
drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? Just imagine walking across the stage and never
seeing the people you graduated with. Well for those instances you can always join networking places like Facebook. Facebook helps you connect
with the people in your life. In those ways you would never be without your friends. On these sites you can write to each other on...show more content...
A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in
many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over
the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends
for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality
changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross
so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are
around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself
and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another
in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. If you
gain some ones trust when you come to a problem you are likely to come to that person

Reflective Essay About Friendship
Having a friendship with someone since you were little is amazing, the bond you form with that person like a never–ending comforter and someone to
always trust and confide in. The day I moved into the new house and went to see the neighborhood, I knew we would always be close. Owen and I
grew closer every day, quickly becoming the best of friends, and at the time, nothing was better than having a best friend. Through our awkward
years, multiple friend groups coming and going, the harsh words and the hate from other people, we were always there for each other; he had my
back and I his. Living in the moment and cherishing the things you have while you have them is one of the most important things in life because you
never know when it can all be taken away...
It was during the eleventh–grade summer that everything changed. The daily talks, sleepovers, and coming to each other about everything all hindered.
Eye contact and smiles were turned to scowling, pointing, and laughing with the hierarchy of all groups. Being friends with him for so long and
eventually developing feelings that exceeded a friendship, and then just being dropped with no warning and not having a clue why was
heart–wrenching and confusing. The day of the pep–rally I finally thought that this one–sided feud would be stopped and that we could rekindle our
lost friendship, but I could never be more wrong. Many side glances, smirks, and winks were made, but none with the loving intent that they used to
hold.

Fake Friends or True Friends
FRIENDS: friend or foe?
Friends are extremely important and friendship is a major part of our lives. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that friends are awesome.
Having friends is similar to having family. During the good times and the bad, through thick and thin, your best friends are there for you. They are
the people that you can count on in your greatest time of need. They can help you in times of trouble, and be there to enjoy and share the great
parts of your life too. Our friends are the people we can rely on to give us the much needed support and comfort that we all seek in life. Knowing

Fake: One–dimensional. They see only their needs and is oblivious to needs of others. They often use you as a sounding board and you rarely get a

Real: They are in–tune enough to sense your pain, your needs and are supportive. They are the type who listens attentively and with concern and

Fake: Full of excuses for why they have no time for you – often only coming around when they want something and that something isn 't YOU
Real: Wants to make time for you because they genuinely enjoy being with you and "choose" to nurture thefriendship
Fake: Their actions don 't back up their words. Promises are often broken and you can 't trust much of what they say or do. You never really get to

Making Friends Through Internet Essay
Nowadays, making friends on internet has been popular throughout the world. People search for new friends, soul mates, or confidants. The internet has

other hand, Internet Friendship may lead to some troubles because some people make get cheated online. I strongly disagree with the establishment of

Some parents are not aware of dangers of internet that brings to their children particularly making friends through internet. For example, their children
might get cheated with someone else on internet and their children will not tell what happen to them when they encounter danger. According to BBC
News, a 47 year old man defrauded a 13 year old girl online and asked to meet face to face. Luckily, the girl's mother found out beforehand or else her
daughter might be in danger. From this news, we can see that there internet friends are not always honest and they are more likely to consider as
un–trustful strangers. Therefore, parents should concern more about their children, teach them about the dangers of making friends on internet, and
avoid them from going out with a stranger.
With the development of internet, people are able to meet new friends who have the same interest or hobby through the internet. Although, it is easy to
make friends on internet, people do not know whether the person they are talking to is good or bad. Some people will also spend most of their time on
internet which leads them to less interaction with friends and family. Parents should concern more about their children while they are meeting new

Friends (compare and contrast essay)
All throughout life we have friends. Most of them will change as the years go by, but a few will remain the same. The friends that change are usually
the ones who have wronged us and the friends that stay the same are the ones who are true. True friendship lasts, false friendship fades.
Friendship is shared between two people or a group of people that trust, support, care and are comfortable with each other ("Friendship"). Everyone
wants to be a friend and have a friend because of the feelings it gives him or her. It makes them feel like they belong somewhere, like they have a
place in the world, and it makes them feel secure and happy to be who they are (Vernon). These are the friends who you can...show more content...
Even through it all I don't hate them for the things they did and I still talk to them from time to time, but I'm not as close to them. This is mainly
because I lost all trust in them. Without trust you have nothing but acquaintanceship with the person.
Being a true friend doesn't mean just saying hello and then walking on by or just talking to someone in one class period and then not at all for the
rest of the day. A friend is someone who we can go to and discuss problems, give advice to, comfort when their feeling bad or had a bad day, and
someone who you talk to on a daily basis. You shouldn't be afraid to be seen talking to or hanging out with your friends. You should be loyal to your
friends and be yourself around them because they are the ones who won't judge you or make cruel remarks about you behind your back.
The two things true friendship and false friendship, friends that come and go, have in common are: the two of you either are or once were friends and
the two of you once had some things in common. They are and once were a person in whom you trusted, confided in, supported, cared for, felt
comfortable with, and had some things in common with.
In conclusion, true friends and false friends have a lot of differences and only a couple of similarities. But because of the differences it makes it
easier to see who your true and lifelong friends are. We should also never forget our old

Essay about Maintaining a True Friendship
Maintaining a True Friendship
Making friends for a lot of us comes naturally, but maintaining these friendships may become somewhat difficult. This is because true friendship cannot
survive without these three aspects: Love, Respect and Honesty. If any of these aspects are lacking in the friendship, it will slowly disintegrate. True
friendship needs equal shares of love, respect and honesty. Therefore, to maintain true friendship, you need the whole package, just not apart of it.
Love is naturally a part of any relationship. In a friendship, love can mean so many things. It means being there when your friend needs you, no matter
what the circumstances may be. It means listening to your friend's problems and giving them advice to...show more content...
Love ties in to respect, which is another important part of true friendship.
Respect in a friendship is just not given, it's earned. Friends usually earn this respect by showing how much they love and care for eachother. But
respect is also giving eachother personal space and knowing when to back off if they invaded in that space. Also respecting eachothers opinions, even
though they might not be the same as yours. Standing behind your friend when they are facing a problem caused by another person or situation also
shows respect for eachother. When each person in the friendship feels loved and respected, they feel that the can trust eachother and that's where
honesty comes into the picture.
Honesty is a fragile aspect of true friendship. It can easily make or break a relationship. Honesty means to be yourself, do not pretend to be
someone else. Your friend will love you for who you are. Don't keep secrets that could destroy your friendship, if they ever came to surface. Tell
your friend the secret as soon as you can and they will respect you even more for being so honest. The biggest part of honesty is betrayal. Never
betray your friend by talking behind their backs because once you say something, even if you don't mean it, you can never take it back.
In conclusion, one could realize that it takes not one, not two, but the three aspects that we just covered to maintain true friendship. Love, Respect and
Honesty all tie into one

One of the most marvelous types of relationships that anyone can have is Friendship. A majority of people today can say that they have many

there for you. No matter how immense or diminutive the problem may be, true friends will be the first ones there. If somebody is having trouble

Broken Friendships
People tend to share everything with their closest friends about their hopes, secrets and insecurities. It is a genuinely nice feeling when a person
knows that they have someone to run to when they have problems and wanted to be comforted. Friendship completes a person. Without it, a person
's world will be in complete darkness. Friendships enrich the existence of a person. It plays a crucial part in shaping someone 's life. As what most
people say, a real friend is a treasure since it is very hard to find. Friends are everywhere, but a real and true friends that will stick around with you

This will obviously end the friendship that they have because if they were certainly a true friend, they should be happy of their friend 's achievements
in life. Women are the ones most likely to get stuck in this situation because many people do not know that there is a hidden competition that is
happening. They want to be better than the other in many aspects of life whether it is about fashion, or who has the most electronics, cars, clothes and
money. There is a competition that is occurring but is hard to notice. Jealousy often leads to hatred and therefore, leads to a broken friendship. Many
female friendship has ended because one was jealous of the other 's career, love life, or even looks. This is a very common cause of broken friendships
among women.
One of the situations that end a friendship occurs when a friend chose to take a different path in life and when they move away. Since they went
away and move to a new place, their lives change such as their beliefs, values and even their interest in life. The person who got left behind will
either forget her friend who moved away or she is going to be the one who will be forgotten. Lack of communication will end a friendship in no time.
If none of them choose to take the initiative to reach out for their friend, they have no one to blame but themselves when their friendship ends. No
calls, no texts, and no e–mails will ultimately ruin a friendship. If they really want to keep their friendship, then they

A Definition of a Friend Essay
A Definition of a Friend
Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual
acquaintance. True friendship is not just a "relationship", but self–sacrificing love. A friend is also one who supports, sympathizes, and is a person in
whom you can confide. There are unique qualities that a person must have to be considered a friend.
An acquaintance is not automatically considered a friend. Just because you know someone does not mean there is an instant friendship. This does not

What is a Friend? Who do you consider your friends? For me, a friend is someone who makes you laugh, they're nice, you can joke around with
this person, and it's very easy to tell them anything because you trust them. If I talk to someone occasionally, and we're nice to each other but we
never get into weird and funny conversations that later on leads to inside jokes, I wouldn't consider them a friend. All of the people I consider my
friends are people who just bring joy to me. One common experience I have had with all my friends is laughing for a very long time non–stop until

Essay about The Qualities of Real Friends
The Qualities of Real Friends
To have friends is an essential part of life and comfort. When you were little you had friends in school that you could play with. You shared your toys
with them and laughed with them while the teacher was speaking. When you were in middle school, you probably adopted a clique of friends to see
after class and hang out with after school. Later on in high school, you most likely narrowed your choice to one companion that you could share your

world. A worthwhile friend will help you find yourself and let you do things on your own when needed. For afriendship to grow, all parties involved
must put effort to make the friendship work. They also need to be able to deal with changes within people and adapt to new traits. Only certain
people with a strong character can fit my ideal. Finally, a true friend is one who is always available for help. In the middle of a crisis, you need to
pick up the phone and hear a reassuring voice telling you that everything is going to be fine. It can make you feel lonely and full of despair when
you have to deal with everything by yourself. A priceless friend will listen to your every word and soothe away every tear. Such a person will not
complain when you are talking too much; a true friend knows you need to express yourself. Also, they will drop everything to come see you or talk
to you when you really need their presence, making you a very important priority. There have been a couple of times in my life that I have come to

Argumentative Essay About Friendship
Do you have friends? Most likely, you answered yes, but I'm asking do you have "true friends"? I use quotes because my understanding of the general
populous concludes me to believe people don't have real honest, genuine, friends. These superficial friendships I speak of lead to a disastrous chaos,
betrayal, and most importantly: a broken heart. Friends are those who look out for each other, those who will abort any personal objective for you at the
drop of a hat. These aspects show a real friend, these aspects describe Rachel Stephenson. Rachel and I have a loaded history of friendship over the past
seven years. We've seen each other through thick and thin and have always supported each other through each trial. Rachel is someone I consider a
true friend from her loyalty to empathize with me, no matter the situation. This girl has stood by my side through my drooling days of elementary
schools, always willing to talk to me: the new dorky kid at school. In my awkward preteen days, I would practically stick to her like glue yet she
never got annoyed. Rachel would never mind countless teachers screaming at her just so she could talk to me in class. She's always bought me a
Christmas present every year, with the most sentiment a person could ever receive. Though it has been trifling years of anguish for the loss of loved
ones and melancholy situations, Rachel has never abandoned me. One time, Rachel stood up to my father while I was getting screamed at for failing

While it might seem that our online social networks are allowing us to have more friends than ever before, it is more likely that we are reaching
our full potential of recognizing one another. In fact, increasing the size of our social network appears to produce no proportional increase in our
capacity for meaningful relationship. Instead we operate on a "one in, one out" psychological system where every new member of the 150 Club
requires another to be jettisoned (Devlin). And so what of the "fluff people," whose content we are exposed to every time we log in to Facebook,
Twitter, or Instagram? How are we affected by maintaining these casual, emotionally distant relationships over the Internet? The impacts may be
worse than we would care to imagine. A recent study indicated 354 Facebook friends to be the average maximum number an individual can acquire

Difference Between A True Friend And True Friends
Have you ever had the feeling that someone knows you better than yourself? We're often surrounded by so–called friends, or acquaintances, as I call
them, whereby a connection between people is actually little–to–nonexistent. Whereas a true friend is there for you no matter what, for the marvelous
and the dreadful. These are the kind of true friends that will have one's back. They are loyal, trustworthy, and valuable to have in one's life. To further
understand what the word "friend" means, it's important to know the history. The word itself, derives from Middle English and meanslove, attachment,
and feeling that of a relative. The word was first notably used in the twelfth century.
Therefore, a friend listens to what one is saying and cares about their feelings and opinion. Occasionally, at times, it feels my friendships are a bit
one–sided, where I'm doing the majority of listening. As a result of this, I've discovered a notable difference between a friend and a true friend. In a
friendship, there are talkers and there are listeners. Except in a true friendship, where neither claim a specific role, both are talkers and the listeners.
Thus, it's fair to say a true friend is someone who can laugh at my awkward moments and vice versa. In other words, it's these types of friends that
are the best, we work as a team, both sides adding to the relationship. However, a friendship is more than using someone as a gossip pal or to rant to
about life problems, but caring for each

timestamp or who lives down the block from one another. Truefriendship is a trait that is not found in every person met throughout a lifetime. It's not
always measured by the amount of time individuals have spent together but it's more about the relationship created during the time spent with one
another. To many individuals true friendship means having someone who respects them and supports them through every aspect of their life
There are many friendships that can last twice as long but at the end of the day the friendship is not as strong as the one of two years. Being able to
have someone that can be trusted with anything and everything, and knowing that at the end of the day everyday they will always be there, that is
true friendship. No matter the distance, time, and any other factors, at the end of the day, they're still there. Being there does not have to be a
physical gesture as much as it must be a mentality that they will never leave. Being able to provide support and advice, that is true friendship. Being
able to put others before themselves in order to make everyone else happy. That is true friendship. True friendship is based off of qualities not a label
or time stamp.
There are many friendships that can last two times as many years but at the end of the day the friendship is not as strong as the one of multiple
years. Personally I have experienced both ends of the spectrum as I have kept strong relationships with people through the years but still manage to
be closer with people I have known for half the amount of time. This is evident in my life when I look back and see how I have known two of my
best friends, Jenny Koerner and Kendra Paez for only four years now, but they have shown me more in these years than an individual I have been
friends with since birth. This is shown through their support of me the last few years. All my life I was the bigger kid when it came to size and when
I got to highschool

You'll get the benefits of alone time, physical activity, and a few minutes to gather your thoughts! Lastly he told me to listen to my favorite song why walking. Sometimes belting out the lyrics to a favorite tune makes everything seem all right. Motivation is a strong tool I use to go further in life and to achieve my dreams. I was failing my math class so I had to motivate myself to pass. First of all I started going to class on time, making sure I was not a minute late. • 2. What is a Friend? Essay What is a friend? A friend is someone who supports you, sympathizes with you, or patronizes a group. An easily definition of that would be a person you know, like and trust. In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? Just imagine walking across the stage and never seeing the people you graduated with. Well for those instances you can always join networking places like Facebook. Facebook helps you connect with the people in your life. In those ways you would never be without your friends. On these sites you can write to each other on...show more content... A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. If you gain some ones trust when you come to a problem you are likely to come to that person Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Reflective Essay About Friendship Having a friendship with someone since you were little is amazing, the bond you form with that person like a never–ending comforter and someone to always trust and confide in. The day I moved into the new house and went to see the neighborhood, I knew we would always be close. Owen and I grew closer every day, quickly becoming the best of friends, and at the time, nothing was better than having a best friend. Through our awkward years, multiple friend groups coming and going, the harsh words and the hate from other people, we were always there for each other; he had my back and I his. Living in the moment and cherishing the things you have while you have them is one of the most important things in life because you never know when it can all be taken away... It was during the eleventh–grade summer that everything changed. The daily talks, sleepovers, and coming to each other about everything all hindered. Eye contact and smiles were turned to scowling, pointing, and laughing with the hierarchy of all groups. Being friends with him for so long and eventually developing feelings that exceeded a friendship, and then just being dropped with no warning and not having a clue why was heart–wrenching and confusing. The day of the pep–rally I finally thought that this one–sided feud would be stopped and that we could rekindle our lost friendship, but I could never be more wrong. Many side glances, smirks, and winks were made, but none with the loving intent that they used to hold. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Fake Friends or True Friends FRIENDS: friend or foe? Friends are extremely important and friendship is a major part of our lives. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that friends are awesome. Having friends is similar to having family. During the good times and the bad, through thick and thin, your best friends are there for you. They are the people that you can count on in your greatest time of need. They can help you in times of trouble, and be there to enjoy and share the great parts of your life too. Our friends are the people we can rely on to give us the much needed support and comfort that we all seek in life. Promises are often broken and you can 't trust much of what they say or do. You never really get to know who they are because they wear a mask of deception. The internet has become an important tool to connect people with each other. Since the internet is so convenient, making friends may no longer be a problem. On the other hand, Internet Friendship may lead to some troubles because some people make get cheated online. I strongly disagree with the establishment of relationships through internet because I think friends on internet friends are different from real life friends. No one knows what their purpose is. Some parents are not aware of dangers of internet that brings to their children particularly making friends through internet. For example, their children might get cheated with someone else on internet and their children will not tell what happen to them when they encounter danger. According to BBC News, a 47 year old man defrauded a 13 year old girl online and asked to meet face to face. Luckily, the girl's mother found out beforehand or else her daughter might be in danger. From this news, we can see that there internet friends are not always honest and they are more likely to consider as un–trustful strangers. Therefore, parents should concern more about their children, teach them about the dangers of making friends on internet, and avoid them from going out with a stranger. With the development of internet, people are able to meet new friends who have the same interest or hobby through the internet. Although, it is easy to make friends on internet, people do not know whether the person they are talking to is good or bad. Some people will also spend most of their time on internet which leads them to less interaction with friends and family. Parents should concern more about their children while they are meeting new friends on internet. • 7. Friends (compare and contrast essay) All throughout life we have friends. Most of them will change as the years go by, but a few will remain the same. The friends that change are usually the ones who have wronged us and the friends that stay the same are the ones who are true. True friendship lasts, false friendship fades. Friendship is shared between two people or a group of people that trust, support, care and are comfortable with each other ("Friendship"). Everyone wants to be a friend and have a friend because of the feelings it gives him or her. It makes them feel like they belong somewhere, like they have a place in the world, and it makes them feel secure and happy to be who they are (Vernon). These are the friends who you can...show more content... Even through it all I don't hate them for the things they did and I still talk to them from time to time, but I'm not as close to them. This is mainly because I lost all trust in them. Without trust you have nothing but acquaintanceship with the person. Being a true friend doesn't mean just saying hello and then walking on by or just talking to someone in one class period and then not at all for the rest of the day. A friend is someone who we can go to and discuss problems, give advice to, comfort when their feeling bad or had a bad day, and someone who you talk to on a daily basis. You shouldn't be afraid to be seen talking to or hanging out with your friends. You should be loyal to your friends and be yourself around them because they are the ones who won't judge you or make cruel remarks about you behind your back. The two things true friendship and false friendship, friends that come and go, have in common are: the two of you either are or once were friends and the two of you once had some things in common. They are and once were a person in whom you trusted, confided in, supported, cared for, felt comfortable with, and had some things in common with. In conclusion, true friends and false friends have a lot of differences and only a couple of similarities. But because of the differences it makes it easier to see who your true and lifelong friends are. We should also never forget our old Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Essay about Maintaining a True Friendship Maintaining a True Friendship Making friends for a lot of us comes naturally, but maintaining these friendships may become somewhat difficult. This is because true friendship cannot survive without these three aspects: Love, Respect and Honesty. If any of these aspects are lacking in the friendship, it will slowly disintegrate. True friendship needs equal shares of love, respect and honesty. Therefore, to maintain true friendship, you need the whole package, just not apart of it. Love is naturally a part of any relationship. In a friendship, love can mean so many things. It means being there when your friend needs you, no matter what the circumstances may be. It means listening to your friend's problems and giving them advice to...show more content... Love ties in to respect, which is another important part of true friendship. Respect in a friendship is just not given, it's earned. Friends usually earn this respect by showing how much they love and care for eachother. But respect is also giving eachother personal space and knowing when to back off if they invaded in that space. Also respecting eachothers opinions, even though they might not be the same as yours. Standing behind your friend when they are facing a problem caused by another person or situation also shows respect for eachother. When each person in the friendship feels loved and respected, they feel that the can trust eachother and that's where honesty comes into the picture. Honesty is a fragile aspect of true friendship. It can easily make or break a relationship. Honesty means to be yourself, do not pretend to be someone else. Your friend will love you for who you are. Don't keep secrets that could destroy your friendship, if they ever came to surface. Tell your friend the secret as soon as you can and they will respect you even more for being so honest. The biggest part of honesty is betrayal. Never betray your friend by talking behind their backs because once you say something, even if you don't mean it, you can never take it back. In conclusion, one could realize that it takes not one, not two, but the three aspects that we just covered to maintain true friendship. Love, Respect and Honesty all tie into one

A majority of people today can say that they have many friendships, however not many know the meaning of true friendship. A true friendship is a relationship among people who will be there for each other in times of need, are usually the best company to be around, and provide the best advice in a certain situation. A true friend will always be there for you. No matter how immense or diminutive the problem may be, true friends will be the first ones there. If somebody is having trouble understanding their homework, a friend will be there to help that person understand that material. Probably one the best qualities that a dependable friend can present is giving guidance. From time to time, we will face some enigmatic choices. Some friends might just pay attention to your conundrum, and interject with their own difficulties. • 11. Broken Friendships People tend to share everything with their closest friends about their hopes, secrets and insecurities. It is a genuinely nice feeling when a person knows that they have someone to run to when they have problems and wanted to be comforted. Friendship completes a person. Without it, a person 's world will be in complete darkness. Friendships enrich the existence of a person. It plays a crucial part in shaping someone 's life. As what most people say, a real friend is a treasure since it is very hard to find. Unfortunately, when it comes to female friendships, no...show more content... This will obviously end the friendship that they have because if they were certainly a true friend, they should be happy of their friend 's achievements in life. Women are the ones most likely to get stuck in this situation because many people do not know that there is a hidden competition that is happening. They want to be better than the other in many aspects of life whether it is about fashion, or who has the most electronics, cars, clothes and money. There is a competition that is occurring but is hard to notice. Jealousy often leads to hatred and therefore, leads to a broken friendship. Many female friendship has ended because one was jealous of the other 's career, love life, or even looks. This is a very common cause of broken friendships among women. One of the situations that end a friendship occurs when a friend chose to take a different path in life and when they move away. Since they went away and move to a new place, their lives change such as their beliefs, values and even their interest in life. The person who got left behind will either forget her friend who moved away or she is going to be the one who will be forgotten. Lack of communication will end a friendship in no time. If none of them choose to take the initiative to reach out for their friend, they have no one to blame but themselves when their friendship ends. • 14. Definition Essay: What Is A Friend? What is a Friend? Who do you consider your friends? For me, a friend is someone who makes you laugh, they're nice, you can joke around with this person, and it's very easy to tell them anything because you trust them. If I talk to someone occasionally, and we're nice to each other but we never get into weird and funny conversations that later on leads to inside jokes, I wouldn't consider them a friend. All of the people I consider my friends are people who just bring joy to me. One common experience I have had with all my friends is laughing for a very long time non–stop until our stomachs hurt. • 15. Essay about The Qualities of Real Friends The Qualities of Real Friends To have friends is an essential part of life and comfort. When you were little you had friends in school that you could play with. You shared your toys with them and laughed with them while the teacher was speaking. When you were in middle school, you probably adopted a clique of friends to see after class and hang out with after school. Later on in high school, you most likely narrowed your choice to one companion that you could share your troubles with. These are the people you chose to spend that time of your life with, and these are the people that cultivated who you are. Everyone has certain expectations of what a valuable friend should be like. I also don't want to be around someone who is boring and has a monotonous attitude about things. My friends and I will go out and sky dive, bungee jump and travel around the world. A worthwhile friend will help you find yourself and let you do things on your own when needed. For afriendship to grow, all parties involved must put effort to make the friendship work. They also need to be able to deal with changes within people and adapt to new traits. Only certain people with a strong character can fit my ideal. Finally, a true friend is one who is always available for help. In the middle of a crisis, you need to pick up the phone and hear a reassuring voice telling you that everything is going to be fine. It can make you feel lonely and full of despair when you have to deal with everything by yourself. A priceless friend will listen to your every word and soothe away every tear. Such a person will not complain when you are talking too much; a true friend knows you need to express yourself. Also, they will drop everything to come see you or talk to you when you really need their presence, making you a very important priority. There have been a couple of times in my life that I have come to notice who my real friends are. When I was going through rough times with my parents, the people who I thought where my friends never took the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Argumentative Essay About Friendship Do you have friends? Most likely, you answered yes, but I'm asking do you have "true friends"? I use quotes because my understanding of the general populous concludes me to believe people don't have real honest, genuine, friends. These superficial friendships I speak of lead to a disastrous chaos, betrayal, and most importantly: a broken heart. Friends are those who look out for each other, those who will abort any personal objective for you at the drop of a hat. These aspects show a real friend, these aspects describe Rachel Stephenson. Rachel and I have a loaded history of friendship over the past seven years. We've seen each other through thick and thin and have always supported each other through each trial. Rachel is someone I consider a true friend from her loyalty to empathize with me, no matter the situation. This girl has stood by my side through my drooling days of elementary schools, always willing to talk to me: the new dorky kid at school. In my awkward preteen days, I would practically stick to her like glue yet she never got annoyed. Rachel would never mind countless teachers screaming at her just so she could talk to me in class. She's always bought me a Christmas present every year, with the most sentiment a person could ever receive. Though it has been trifling years of anguish for the loss of loved ones and melancholy situations, Rachel has never abandoned me. One time, Rachel stood up to my father while I was getting screamed at for failing the seventh Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. "A wealth of content creates a poverty of attention." – Nobel Laureate Herbert Simon – Facebook now has over 1.3 billion monthly active users (Edwards, 2014). When we consider such a colossal volume of information being pumped continuously into cyberspace, social media's pervasive stranglehold on our society becomes readily apparent. In the past decade we have opened more communication channels than our parents ever thought possible. The advent of smartphones has even eliminated the necessity of a computer screen, putting the power to network across the globe literally in the palms of our hands. We are able to see the positive impacts of the social media movement every day in the speed at which information is disseminated and the...show more content... While it might seem that our online social networks are allowing us to have more friends than ever before, it is more likely that we are reaching our full potential of recognizing one another. In fact, increasing the size of our social network appears to produce no proportional increase in our capacity for meaningful relationship. Instead we operate on a "one in, one out" psychological system where every new member of the 150 Club requires another to be jettisoned (Devlin). And so what of the "fluff people," whose content we are exposed to every time we log in to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram? How are we affected by maintaining these casual, emotionally distant relationships over the Internet? The impacts may be worse than we would care to imagine. A recent study indicated 354 Facebook friends to be the average maximum number an individual can acquire before becoming less content with his or her own life (Watkins). Why? Because very rarely are our social media personas reflective of our real–life realities. Perhaps it is because we wish to spare others the pain and drama of our everyday lives; perhaps it is because we revel in the opportunity social media offers for self–promotion. Regardless, to a certain extent we Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Difference Between A True Friend And True Friends Have you ever had the feeling that someone knows you better than yourself? We're often surrounded by so–called friends, or acquaintances, as I call them, whereby a connection between people is actually little–to–nonexistent. Whereas a true friend is there for you no matter what, for the marvelous and the dreadful. These are the kind of true friends that will have one's back. They are loyal, trustworthy, and valuable to have in one's life. To further understand what the word "friend" means, it's important to know the history. The word itself, derives from Middle English and meanslove, attachment, and feeling that of a relative. The word was first notably used in the twelfth century. Therefore, a friend listens to what one is saying and cares about their feelings and opinion. Occasionally, at times, it feels my friendships are a bit one–sided, where I'm doing the majority of listening. As a result of this, I've discovered a notable difference between a friend and a true friend. In a friendship, there are talkers and there are listeners. Except in a true friendship, where neither claim a specific role, both are talkers and the listeners. Thus, it's fair to say a true friend is someone who can laugh at my awkward moments and vice versa. In other words, it's these types of friends that are the best, we work as a team, both sides adding to the relationship. However, a friendship is more than using someone as a gossip pal or to rant to about life problems, but caring for each Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 22. Everyone has their own definition of what a friend is and what qualities they should obtain. To many individuals true friendship is represented by how long an individual has known someone and maintained to stay close with them through that time. However true friendship means more than just a timestamp or who lives down the block from one another. Truefriendship is a trait that is not found in every person met throughout a lifetime. It's not always measured by the amount of time individuals have spent together but it's more about the relationship created during the time spent with one another. To many individuals true friendship means having someone who respects them and supports them through every aspect of their life There are many friendships that can last twice as long but at the end of the day the friendship is not as strong as the one of two years. Being able to have someone that can be trusted with anything and everything, and knowing that at the end of the day everyday they will always be there, that is true friendship. No matter the distance, time, and any other factors, at the end of the day, they're still there. Being there does not have to be a physical gesture as much as it must be a mentality that they will never leave. Being able to provide support and advice, that is true friendship. Being able to put others before themselves in order to make everyone else happy. That is true friendship. True friendship is based off of qualities not a label or time stamp. There are many friendships that can last two times as many years but at the end of the day the friendship is not as strong as the one of multiple years. Personally I have experienced both ends of the spectrum as I have kept strong relationships with people through the years but still manage to be closer with people I have known for half the amount of time. This is evident in my life when I look back and see how I have known two of my best friends, Jenny Koerner and Kendra Paez for only four years now, but they have shown me more in these years than an individual I have been friends with since birth. This is shown through their support of me the last few years. All my life I was the bigger kid when it came to size and when I got to highschool Get more content on HelpWriting.net
