· Responsible for coordinating the budget process by meeting with the administration, guidance counselors and
finance manager to establish and see to it that we offer classes that will meet the needs of the greatest number
of students.Budget Administrator for all of our purchases and funds transfers to individual departments within
the college as well as outside vendors.Advising the administration on potential cost-saving opportunities to
maximize the use of our finances. Act as Payroll Administrator ensuring that all of our adjuncts,lab
technicians and college assistants are appointed,processed with Human Resources and receive their pay in a
timely fashion
· Actively participate in all CUNY Early College Initiative meetings which has prompted the request for me to
participate in related sub-committees with other CUNY members and Early College Liaisons. The purpose of
our bi-monthly meetings is to develop new and better ways to improve the Early College Program while
utilizing resources at the college level, to discuss Early College student policies and requirements for our
college courses and to foster better communication between the Early College schools and University
Admissions. The sub-committees are formed as needed by the CUNY Early College Initiative and the Early
College Liaisons
· Assist in the screening, processing,and orientation of applicants to Early College waiver and cohort courses
· Ensuring that students at Brooklyn College Academy's Main and Campus sites are aware of Early College and
other collaborative program offerings by promoting their availability at each grade level to parents and
students.Ihave created a detailed brochure and othermaterials to guide students in their journey through the
Early College program
· Collaborate with high school guidance counselors to identify and reach out to potential candidates for Early
College and other collaborative programs. Work with the College Now Director to develop potential summer
courses to be offered to students. Coordinate with administration and the College Now Director to promote,
advertise and register students forthese newly developed College Now summer classes.
· Schedule and facilitate ongoing meetings with Brooklyn College Academy administration, Early College
course instructors,and high schooladvisory teachers to discuss student progress,ongoing challenges,and
program plans
