2. WHAT IS IMAGE SENSOR SOCKET?
• High temperature soldering, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and cleaning agents can
damage the sensor and its pixel structure during camera or system assembly.
• Image Sensor Sockets are soldered onto the circuit board (PCB) instead of the sensor
to avoid sensor damage during production. In this same way, PCBs can be recovered
when with a faulty sensor is soldered to it.
