2. WHAT ARE TERMINAL PINS?
• Terminal Pins are the machined pins which are manufactured
from free-machining of Brass, with either Tin or Gold plating
finish for solderability.
• PCB Terminal Pins are mostly used in Male Connectors.
• They are commonly fastened to printed circuit boards or other
housings by being press-fit, swaged (riveted) or soldered.

3. WHY TERMINAL PINS?
• Terminal pins serve not only as a conductive path for an
electrical circuit, but provide strength to an assembly module
as a mechanical interface.
• They are inexpensive and simple components, with a variety of
customization options.
• There are solder cup and crimp barrel styles for terminating
discrete wires to boards, making up cable assemblies or
converting device wires to pluggable pins.

• Used in building automation as well as HVAC technology where
pluggable PCB terminals are frequently required.
• Used for wire-to-board applications where a permanent termination of
wires, for power or signal transmission, is required.
