1. MHPS OCTOBER 17, 2011 MEETING MINUTES
ATTENDANCE:
Ed Banks, Ross Miller, Cindy and Doug Plance, Carol and Lou Intrieri, Jim Pees, Joan
Kearns, Chuck Hall, Mary Margaret Galdes, Mary Hicks, Carl Patty, Jackie Stempfer
Meeting opened at 7:30 PM.
MINUTES:
Minutes were circulated for review and additions/corrections. Jim made motion, second
by Joan – motion passed unanimously.
TREASURERS REPORT:
Connie was not there but Joan reported money market account has balance of $5959.98.
Jim made motion, second by Ed – motion passed unanimously.
MEMBERSHIP:
No new members this month. An updated/current membership list will be developed and
circulated.
Discussion regarding our 501(c)3 status – Mary Margaret will investigate to make sure
we are in good standing as currently we are not on the current IRS list of organization on
the web site. Joan reported we have been filing our 1023 form as required.
Carl reported shingles fell of the Staymates Barn. He contacted the person that did the
work and he refused to return to make repairs. Carl’s neighbor has offered to do the
repairs at no charge.
Municipality owns barn - Bill Evans will do an auction of the contents at no charge but
must check with Municipality. Joan will handle this request.
No news on the Night of Lights scheduled for December 2, 2011.
The Society was formed November 17, 1987 and we will have our 25th anniversary
November, 2012. Need to discuss/decide how we want to celebrate.
GAS WELL:
Everyone feels their parts are ready for the application so we will pick a date to complete
it and have Jim Morrison review before mailing.
FESTIVAL:
Joan wrote a great article on Chuck Hall for the festival and Penn Franklin put our flier in
the paper.
Societies brochure will be available for distribution at the festival.
October 29 was chosen as the next Hoss’s Community day.
