• In 1980,it meant knowing how to
programme code.
• In 1995,it meant knowing how to work
basic tools like word processing and
spreadsheet.

4.  Now a days Technology Literacy is
much richer and more complex
because of more information, tools of
findings, using and creating.

5. Defination
 Technology literacy is the ability or
responsibility use appropriate
technology to:
 Communicate
 Solve problems
 Access, manage, integrate, evaluate,
design, and create information to
improve learning in all subjects area.

6.  Acquire lifelong knowledge and skills.
 It requires students to demonstrate new
skills and knowledge.

7. Standards For Students
 Creative and innovation
 Communication and collaboration
 Research and information fluency
 Critical thinking, problem-solving and
decision making
 Digital citizenship
 Technology operation and concepts

8. Why Now
 Now our culture require today’s
students to become skilled adults who
can process large amount of
information and identify, define and
solve problems. They will need to
develop innovation ideas using
technology and manage their own
productivity.

experiences, including:

 Designing their own homework
 Co-creating assessment of their work
 Continuously extending their
collaboration work around the globe.

10. Barriers
 Lack of accessible computers and
digital tools
 Expense of online tools that support
teaching and learning
 Lack of time and expertise to explore
and understand available software.
