In this presentation, Ashutosh introduces SMAC and associated trends. His interest area lies in analytics and apps. He wants to build crowd sourcing apps to help locate parking spaces and help students make right decisions.

Interest in crowd sourcing ideas(social + mobile) and applying data
science(analytics) and using the obtained data insights for various applications
like – social, healthcare, economic etc. Cloud reduces stress of knowing and
mastering each and every dependent technology(sharing resources).

3. • Cloud Computing is almost part of everything in IT.
• We have had realized the importance and power of Big Data, potential of
data.
• The reach of mobile computing has made gathering data from people and
reaching to people directly easy.
• Combining all these gives us paradigm known as SMAC.
• SMAC is not something we are not practicing, it is almost part of our
routine now.
• Now what remains is to explore newer potentials of the same and utilizing
the potential.
• To state examples - Health monitoring apps, Live Traffic information,
study of user behavior for better marketing and making strategies, decision
making, even elections.
• We all know how BJP and AAP both has utilized power of social media, for
marketing and understanding public views etc.

4.  If offered an internship in SMAC, I intend to work on data analysis for
whatever the application may be.
 Some application areas I may state for example – Crowd Sourcing ideas
 Studying User behavior –
Showing some images, colors in certain context and analyzing their
responses.
 Parking Problem –
Like traffic problem, parking is a big issue in India. The solution may
be crowd sourcing parking spaces and an app connected to show live
available parking spaces to user.
 Education –
Crowd sourcing educational information – institution, courses,
syllabus and user opinion to facilitate one to decide the best suitable option
for oneself.
