2. About the Teacher I’m Mrs. Barr! I have been teaching at RHES since 2008. I graduated from RHHS and I’m married to my high school sweetheart. We have a son who makes our lives very exciting! I love teaching 2nd grade, and I can’t wait to get to know you all!

5. Morning Arrival School starts at 8:25. Please be sure to enter the classroom AFTER you are invited by Mrs. Barr. Make sure to come in quietly, unpack, and begin on your Welcome Work! (We will talk about this more tomorrow!)
6. Attendance It is important to be at school each and every day to learn the most we can in 2nd grade! If you know that you are going to miss a day or two, ask mom and dad to write Mrs. Barr a note or to call the school and let them know. That number is 912-459-5201.
7. Lunch Lunch costs $2.00 each day. Mom and dad can write checks in advance and can even come and eat if they write Mrs. Barr a note and make a reservation. Tomorrow’s lunch: Chicken Tenders (YUM)
8. Getting Home It is very important that I know how each YOU get home everyday! Please ask your parents to use the communication journal to notify me of a change in transportation. ASP
9. Homework Yes! We have homework in second grade! We will complete our homework in a journal and we will check over it each day! In addition to homework, you will have to keep a reading log every night!
10. Snacks A snack calendar will go home each month with each student. I thank you in advance for making sure that we have a class snack everyday! It doesn’t have to be homemade or expensive, just a small treat to hold the students over!
11. Super Star Not only do I expect great behavior, I reward it! “Super Stars” are what they are called and it is important to let great behavior SHINE!!!!!
12. D.O.T. Club (Dynamic, Outstanding, Terrific) Being a member of this club is earned! I know that everyone wants to be in this club, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to find out how! (Here are some of my D.O.T. Club photos from the past!)
