POLITICS
•Politics ; Activities that relate to influencing the
actions and policies of a government or getting
and keeping power in a government
•The work or job of people (such as elected
officials) who are part of a government
•Political Conflict is an expressed struggle by a
community or group arising out a perceived or
actual threat to their interests, or ability to acquire
and exercise governance within a larger group or
organization.
•Political conflicts escalates easily if left unresolved
POLITICAL CONFLICT
MAIN CAUSES OF POLITICAL CONFLICT
1. Faulty amalgamation of groups
to from a nation or society
2. Breakdown in social contract and corruption
3. Weak state institutions
4. Inequality, exclusion and misunderstanding
5. Poor communication between staffs
6. Limited sources
7. Blaming others
MAIN CAUSES POLITICAL CONFLICT EMERGE?
1. Implementation of organizational mandate
2. Bring developmental reform to increase
productivity
3. Innovation and creativity
4. Additional budget increase when needed
(supplementary budget)

3. Don’t go into the conflict necessarily expecting
bad out come
4. Manage stress
DEALING WITH CONFLICT
5. Pay attention to your non-verbal cues
6. Resist the urge to overgeneralize
7. Mange how you react to other party’s words
8. Focus on the problem not the person
DEALING WITH CONFLICT
It is very important to handle conflicts sooner rather
than later, to minimize the negative affects to the
organization. Always try to mitigate conflicts with
positive attitude. Managers must act responsibly to
be respected.
