1. Character Profile:
Before we filmourmusicvideo,we needtodecide onwhowe wanttobe involved.The resultof our
decisionisbasedonouraudience feedbackfromourquestionnaire.Afteranalysingthe resultsfrom
the questionnaires,we foundthat there isa correlationinthe use of blackindividualsinthe genre of
RnB and HipHop. We foundthese responsesinthese questionsthatwe asked:
“What would you expectto see in an RnB/Hip Hop genre musicvideo?”
“What would you like to see in an RnB/Hip Hop musicvideo?”
Therefore meaningthatitwas onlysensible tochoose blackindividualstotake partin our music
videotobe able to meetaudience expectations.
So withoutfurthernotice,we usedAshleytobe ourmale leadas he was the male leadinour AS
openingsequence.Inadditiontohisexperienceinbeingfilmed,he isinourgroup,meaningthathe
knowsthat needstobe achievedinordertoget the shotthat we want.
Nowthat we have a male lead,we askedJuliaif she couldbe inour musicvideo andbe our female
lead– in whichshe saidyes!We askedJulia – not onlybecause she wasblack,butbecause she isa
beautiful yetelegantindividual inwhichthatiswhatwe wantedto portrayour female leadtobe.
In additiontofindingouractors/actresses,we askedHollie if she couldbe inourmusicvideotoo.
Thisis because we hadalreadyseenherchoreographyshe haddone forthissong.Therefore making
it a fabulousopportunitytogetherto be part of the performance side toourmusicvideo.
