In the first production week, the filmmaker captured footage of scenery in a beautiful local area to use as filler shots, including 20 minutes of footage of their mother walking and wildlife. In the second week, they drafted interview questions for their mother and conducted the interview over multiple takes to reduce background noise. By the third week, they had edited together footage from their mother's test run of a running course and other clips into a 3-minute edit. In the fourth week, they filmed an interview with their grandmother and finalized their film project. The final production week involved finishing color corrections, minor design details, and completing an evaluation of the process.

1. Production diary
Production week 1 – For my first week of production I went out on a walk with my family in the
Wolds and I took my camera. Here was a good opportunity to get some footage of scenery in a
really beautiful place that would make some nice filler shots. I took about 20 minutes’ worth of
footage of my mum walking in this really beautiful area and I got some footage of the area
itself. I also tried to get photos of the wildlife there, for example the sheep and the birds. I
didn’t manage to get footage of the treatment as I originally said I was going to in my
production schedule.
Production week 2 – This week I drafted some questions I was going to use for an interview for
my mum. I interviewed my mum and it took a couple of attempts to get it right because there
was a lot of background noise. I have also started editing together the clips that I have got to
make a rough edit of what I’ve got so far.
Production week 3 – This week my mum went to the lakes and did a test run of the course. I
asked her to film some hand-held footage of her running around and also her vocally describing
what she is doing so I have some audio to work with. With the footage my mum got and all the
other footage I managed to get an edit that was around 3 minutes long.
Production week 4 – In this week of production I filmed an interview of my nana because she is
very close to my mum and is a massive supporter of her running. With this I managed to get a
final edit of my FMP. I did originally plan on filming the first 2 days of the 10in10 but
unfortunately, I couldn’t get down there to film it so I had to do the best with the footage I got
instead.
Production week 5 – In the last week of production I started by finishing all my colour
corrections and fixing minor details like the font on my poster and the colour corrections on the
video. Over the weekend I also started my evaluation and finished it in lesson.
