Hired as a HelpDesk Technician to assist in the support of 1200 Windows desktops. Quickly
demonstrated a talent fortroubleshooting/administration and was tasked with assisting in the
support of the institution’s servers in addition to day to day duties. When the college created a full-
time Server Administrator, I applied for and wonthe position. Twoyears later, after assuming
responsibility forand leading the implementation of multiple key technology initiatives, I was
promoted again to the position of Systems Administrator. While in those roles, I saw enrollment
nearly double, kept pace only by the institution’s growing need for supporting technology…

…That growth fueled my career by constantly challenging me to take on new responsibilities.
Eighteen physicalservers became three VMware clusters, over 160 physical and virtualservers,
email, backups, Anti-virus, Active Directory,file sharing, datacenter operations and 3000 virtual
desktops.
Key Technology Initiatives:
 Designed and led the migration from Netware 4.5 to MS ActiveDirectory.
 Designed and led the migration of over 1300 Groupwise 6.5 accounts to MS Exchange 2010.
 Introduced the first virtual server to TJC in 2006 & led the virtualization of over 90% of all
servers campus wide.
 Designed and led the implementation of the TJC’s first Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
 Redesigned TJC’s datacenter layoutfor maximum efficiency whileplanning forgrowth.
 Revamped the TJC’s datacenter’s powerdistribution, cooling and fire suppression systems.
 Designed and led three EMC storage solution implementations focused primarily on VMware
