2. Innovative Learning Online Expectations
● The expectation is that online students are in attendance and participating the
entire class period.
● Microphones muted and the raise hand feature used when students have a
question.
● Students may only use the chat feature when given permission by the teacher
and are not allowed to private message their friends during class.
● Students should refrain from playing with the background feature during
class.

Middle School operates on a block scheduling system. All students, including the Innovative Learning online
students, will follow the bell schedule. Mondays and Wednesdays are “A” Days and students attend periods
1 through 4.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are “B” Days and students attend periods 5 through 8.
Fridays alternate weekly between an “A” Day and a “B” Day.
Reminders will be posted in the Microsoft Teams Agenda each week notating whether Friday is an “A”
Day or “B” Day.

4. Mrs. Boorse’s Biography
Michelle Boorse received a B.S. in Biology Education from St. Petersburg
College and is currently teaching Physical Science Honors, Biology Honors, and
Art at Sunlake Academy of Math and Science. As a STEAM trained teacher who
focuses on integrated learning, she is concerned with the whole child and fosters
a love of inquiry- based problem-solving activities. As a lifelong learner she is
certified in Middle School Science grades 5-9, Middle Grades Integrated
Curriculum, Biology Education 6-12, and Art Education K-12. Her current focus
is on continuing to work on developing her skills at technology integration in the
classroom.
