GENERAL SYNOPSIS.
Senior Piping Design / Layout Engineer and PDMS Administrator with thirty two years experience in
upstream process plants and offshore and onshore facilities. Twenty-five years using PDMS, seven years of
which were spent as a PDMS CAD Support Engineer and three years working at shipyards. Proficient in
Aveva Marine, Navisworks, Microsoft Office & Autocad software; Ability to use Microstation.
DESIGN PROJECT SYNOPSIS.
Employed at BOC as a Piping Designer after qualifying via a six month piping layout course, worked in the
piping design office embracing all Piping Design and Layout activities on various Greenfield EPC Cryogenic
projects.
Developed skills in piping layout and checking of piping isometrics to various Engineering standards i.e.
ASME, Norsok and various company standards.
Onshore project design experience Cryogenic, Power generation, Ammonium Nitrate and Polypropylene
Plant. Application of the required design codes and philosophies whilst liaising with all engineering
disciplines for various EPC projects.
Offshore platforms and FPSO design projects for oil production and LNG facilities. The initiation of piping
codes for the layout and functionality of platform topside equipment, piping, HVAC, cable tray and modules
with consideration to safety, mechanical handling and environment. Member of study groups for conceptual
oil field upgrade and establishing the feasibility for various wellhead options for new platform.
Working within a detail design team to perform the various task required to achieve a practical design option.

PDMS PROJECT SYNOPSIS.
PDMS Design Module used for conceptual layout requirements for various onshore and offshore projects.
Creation of Pipe routing, Structure and Equipment to relevant vendor drawings and company standards.
PDMS Draft module used for developing rules and procedures for the production of Equipment Plot Plan
and Piping GA drawings. Development of Isodraft routine macros using PML for production of checking and
construction piping; this is also associated with Spooler for fabrication isometrics.
PDMS Paragon module for development of project Catalogue and Specification for various piping standards
e.g. ASME, Norsok, Din etc. Also the creation of Instrument components, e.g. Valves in-line flow meters,
PDMS Admin for the instigation and maintenance of projects discipline databases & DAC rules. i.e. Piping,
Structural, HVAC etc.

Icthys FPSO seconded by the client to DSME construction yard as part of an
Engineering Design Team.Responsible for the Layout and checking of the EPC
contractors PDMS compression modual for compliance with project standards.
Attend Model revues with both client and DSME to resolve design issues +for
