I am an experienced senior designer with over 8 years home office and site experience in piping
design and plant layout. I approach a wide range of tasks and challenges with ability and enthusiasm.
I have good communication skills and I work well on my own or as an integrated member of a team.
Personal Skills:
I have worked in various locations both as a Piping Designer and as a Construction Piping
Engineer, These include Malaysia, Fawley - Southampton, Saudi Arabia, Glasgow and
Teesside.
I have an eye for detail and a good ability for reading technical drawings and converting in to
an efficient layout or design.
I worked for over a year as a Piping Engineer on a construction site, My main duties included
leasing with sub-contractors in regards to pipe fabrication queries, layout and erection
problems, Marking up Isometrics with changes due to installation errors of Pipe or Equipment.
Assisting the Construction Management team with site related problems while following the
company’s Health and Safety Policy.

Responsible for the layout and development of site plans and plot plans for the tankage, utility and
effluent treatment areas in accordance with project design specifications and international standards

Responsible for the design of piping systems in the Liquids Drumming area of the packaging Centre
including attending Client and Foster Wheeler model reviews, Equipment layout, development of site
plans, pipe spacing and routings, Preparation of Isometric deliverables, Co-ordinating of utility Station
location plans using PDS and Microstation.
Piping Designer, Samref, Foster Wheeler Arabia, Yanbu (Site, EPC) (2012)
Site visit to Yanbu, Saudi Arabia supporting the 2013 Turnaround Project. Activities included
dimensional and scope verification of investment and disinvestment isometrics, and line tagging.
Mark-ups of isometrics were prepared highlighting any corrections required.
Piping Designer, STATOIL, Foster Wheeler Glasgow Office, Norway (EPC) (2012)
Assignment in the Glasgow engineering office responsible for the design of piping systems as part of
the revamp of an existing refinery. Worked closely with the Stress Engineer to produce fabrication
isometrics and pipe support details using PDMS and Microstation. Generated disinvestment
isometrics for existing lines to be demolished, and a complete P&ID check to ensure all isometrics
were issued on a shutdown priority basis within the timescale provided.
Piping Designer, ExxonMobil, Fawley Refinery, Southampton (EPC) (2011 – 2012)
Assignment in Fawley working in the site engineering office. Responsible for the detailed design of
new lines within the existing plant using client “as built” drawings and conducted site surveys to verify
the routing and dimensions. Produced fabrication drawings including isometrics with pipe supports
and bills of material using 3D PDS, and updating equipment layouts and plot plans using 2D
Microstation.

(2010 – 2011)
Responsible for the development of site plans, plot plans and the design of piping systems in
accordance with project design specifications and international standards using 3D PDS and
Microstation. Produced project deliverables including interface plans and isometrics.

Responsible for the design and development of piping systems using 3D PDS in accordance with
project design specifications and international standards, and producing tie-in details and isometrics.
Piping Designer, Petronas, PSR2 Revamp Project, Malaysia (Site, EPC) (2008 – 2009)
On assignment in Malaysia working in the engineering office. Responsibilities included the detailed
design of new lines run through the existing plant using client “as built” layouts and isometrics, site
visits were then conducted to verify the routing. Produced fabrication isometrics with pipe supports
and bills of material, and updated the equipment layouts and plot plans using 2D Microstation.

Responsibilities included the design and development of piping systems in accordance with project
design specifications and international standards using 3D PDS. Producing tie-in details and

Assisted with the development of the equipment layouts and plot plan deliverables, using 2D

3. 2006 – 2007 - Contracts CAD & Technical Administrator
Co-ordination of an ICS quotation & design specific control panels for the HVAC/BMS system from
point’s lists & control equipment schedules. Liaising with engineering trades, to gather information
required to design control panels and the collation of all design documentation and data. Overseeing
a design concept through to production / assembly.
