Project Consultant 2006 - Present:
After the successful completion of a large financial system implementation project after Lawson
Software acquired Intentia, I became a full time project consultant completing financial system
projects for the following companies:
Caravan’s, Incorporated, Blaine, MN 03/2013 – Present
• Gather key business requirements and necessary information from the Owner of this
successful Aviation Company in order to put together a plan to ensure that the financial and
reporting needs were to be met.
• Developed a new model with the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access for the input of
key information needed for the most accurate reporting possible.
• Created the functionalities (i.e. Vlookups, Other key formula(s), Pivot Tables, etc.) in Microsoft
Excel in order to most efficiently document the financial information for the company.
• Uploaded all of this financial data into Microsoft Access tables, which was necessary due to
the high volume of transactions and created important Forms, Charts and Reports that
enabled the Owner to examine the company’s financial status more accurately.
• Solely responsible for taking the Owner’s requests and implementing new reports to

Northern Tier Energy, St. Paul Park, MN 08/2012 – 02/2013

Hyperion Planning, but also Smartview, Hyperion Essbase, and Hyperion HFM to replace the
existing systems.

• Was the administrator of the Hyperion Essbase reporting system as well as Hyperion Planning
and the Oracle EPM system.

functional side and then presented those requirements to the technical side prior to the final
design and implementation.

figuring out the best way to create a new system/process to handle their financial records.
• Met with the end users (functional side) on a regular basis to collect the necessary information
and business requirements needed and then transposed that information to the technical side.
• Created and automated new Microsoft Access database(s) to store important financial data.
• Responsible for creating new Microsoft Excel spreadsheets using the data from the newly
created Access database(s) which helped them automate their processes and make financial

• Created a new Microsoft Access database that housed valuable financial and statistical data
that was used by Senior Management on a monthly basis for budgeting and forecasting
purposes.

Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other programs as well.
North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, MN 07/2009 – 10/2009
• Responsible for developing a new Position Management system within the organization.
• Created new as well as automated existing financial and headcount reports using Microsoft
Access, along with Microsoft Excel and SQL for all areas of the hospital.
• The goal of these new reports was to provide serious efforts to reduce costs to save the
company money.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Minnetonka, MN 03/2007 – 11/2007

multidimensional database cubes.

Essbase on an ad-hoc basis for research purposes.

Lawson Software, St. Paul, MN 11/2010 – 05/2011 • Involved in working with creating a new department in the Finance/Systems area. The main objective of this new department was to bring Finance/Accounting and ITS in agreement on figuring out the best way to create a new system/process to handle their financial records. • Met with the end users (functional side) on a regular basis to collect the necessary information and business requirements needed and then transposed that information to the technical side. • Created and automated new Microsoft Access database(s) to store important financial data. • Responsible for creating new Microsoft Excel spreadsheets using the data from the newly created Access database(s) which helped them automate their processes and make financial reporting during month-end not only easier, but more efficient. • Developed and held training sessions for other Lawson employees in the finance, accounting and ITS departments for the newly developed tools. United Health Group, Minnetonka, MN 04/2010 – 07/2010 • Created a new Microsoft Access database that housed valuable financial and statistical data that was used by Senior Management on a monthly basis for budgeting and forecasting purposes. • Automated their daily and monthly reporting with tools such as Hyperion Essbase 11.1.1, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other programs as well. North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, MN 07/2009 – 10/2009 • Responsible for developing a new Position Management system within the organization. • Created new as well as automated existing financial and headcount reports using Microsoft Access, along with Microsoft Excel and SQL for all areas of the hospital. • The goal of these new reports was to provide serious efforts to reduce costs to save the company money. • Heavily involved with analyzing the current data and creating scenarios used by Senior Management to review on determining what staff needed would be best for Position Management.
