4. Causes and symptoms.
There are two type of causes.
1. Non-bacterial
2. Bacterial
● Non-bacterial are common cause of meningitis.
● Meningitis caused due to bacteria is life threatening.
● Bacteria- Haemophilus influenzae
● Neissrria meningitidis
● Streptococci pneumoniae
5. Other causes
● Mumps and measeles virus
● Chicken pox, rabies virus, infected mosquito bite .
● Person suffering from AIDS.
● Blood-prone diseases.
● Lungs, throat, or tissues of heart infection.
● Person suffering from skull fracture.
6. Symptoms
Fever, headache, vomiting, sensitivity to light, irritability, severe fatigue, stiff neck,
raddish purple rash on skin, seizures, confusion, eventually coma.
