the SAFE process which helped the prosecution collect the evidence needed for
a conviction.
 Advocated for and escorted victims during their Criminal Investigation Division
(CID) interview, requesting breaks when the victims gave signs of needing one,
which allowed the victims to collect themselves and their thoughts before
continuing with the interviews.
 Assisted victims in the processes of both restricted and unrestricted reporting
which ensured the victims’ wants and needs were addressed at the appropriate
levels.
 Conducted assessments on victims of sexual assault, evaluating their needs and
risks, which ensured proper referrals were made and safety plans were
developed.
 Created a safer deployed environment in Afghanistan by having motion detector
flood lights and cypher locks on bathroom doors installed, making night time trips
to the bathroom safer for both women and men.
 Amended sexual harassment and sexual assault policy letters with language that
took the fear of repercussions for collateral misconduct away, giving Soldiers
involved in such activities a safe environment in which to report incidents of
sexual assault
 Served as subject matter expert in procedures, issues, and criteria related to
Army responses, victim advocacy, reporting/investigative procedures, and
decision points and impacts related to incidents of sexual assault and sexual
harassment on Soldiers, their adult family members, civilians, and US contractors
which resulted in a comprehensive SHARP program focused on victim resiliency.
 Demonstrated commitment and dedication in training 450+ people over three
days, in a combat zone, on the Army SHARP program, resulting in 100% of the
organization being trained.
 Pioneered the Chief of Staff of the Army’s vision of eradicating sexual assault
and sexual harassment from the Army culture within a brigade which brought
education and training to those Soldiers before the Army SHARP program was
officially established.
 Developed SHARP program objectives, policies, and performance measures for
program effectiveness through a comprehensive policy that centered on
awareness, prevention, training, education, victim advocacy, response, reporting,
and follow-up actions, which enabled Commanders to better structure their
SHARP programs.
 Designed executive level SHARP training for upper management to attend which
reduced the required timeframe by 50%, allowing those personnel to conduct
their training while still completing their missions.
 Designed, developed, and delivered interactive training, fact sheets, information
papers, memorandums, and policy letters about the SHARP program which were
used by subordinate units for training and as a model for development of their
own policy letters.
 Educated victims of sexual assault on military and local resources available for
medical examinations, counseling, safety plans, legal assistance, religious
support, crisis centers, community support groups, and orders of protection, in
order to get past the trauma of the assault and return to a functional life.
 Trained, mentored, and educated female officers from the Bangladesh Army as
they look to integrate women into their enlisted ranks, answering their questions
about sexual assault and sexual harassment in the US Army and sharing the
Army’s vision of a cultural change in order to eradicate sexual assault and sexual
harassment from its ranks, empowering those women with tools to use as they
begin the integration.
 Sought out by senior enlisted personnel for advice and counsel on SHARP
issues.
 Experienced in applying tact and diplomacy during sensitive circumstances
surrounding a sexual assault, balancing the needs of the individual’s privacy and
the desire of the Chain of Command for information.
 Introduced 5 different direct subordinates to FAP for issues involving domestic
violence and child abuse which resulted in those Soldiers getting the assistance
they needed to get through the trauma associated with being a victim of abuse
and stay in the Army on active duty.
Joint Army/Air Force Experience
 Advocated with Air Force Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR)
personnel while in Afghanistan, gaining an understanding of how the SAPR and
SHARP programs complement each other.
 Worked in an environment with both Army and Air Force personnel for over 9
years which enabled an understanding of Air Force structure and policies.
 Represented United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) at the Pacific Air Force’s
(PACAF) Non-Kinetics Working Group, ensuring that the Army’s interest in
Space and Cyber targeting was clearly communicated and understood.
 Coordinated, synchronized, and integrated joint national level capabilities as the
Special Access Program, Deputy Chief in an operational environment for 18
months, resulting in enhanced force protection, maneuver and strike capabilities.
Equal Opportunity/ Sexual Harassment
 Inspected the Equal Opportunity/ Sexual Harassment program for a
geographically dispersed organization with subsets in three countries and two
states, ensuring that all requirements of the program were met or exceeded.
 Trained over 400 people in annual and quarterly requirements for Equal
Opportunity and Sexual Harassment, maintaining a 90% trained rate or higher
which increased mission readiness.
 Conducted staff assistance visits to subordinate commands, advising
commanders and evaluating the effectiveness of their Equal Opportunity and
Sexual Harassment programs, making recommendations on corrective actions,
improvements, and expansion which resolved deficiencies and improved the
capabilities and efficiency of the programs.
 Assessed command climates regarding sexual harassment, sexual assault, and
equal opportunity, which gave commanders an insight into problems within their
commands and a way ahead to fix those issues.
Communication
 In the absence of an Army policy, assisted in writing the USARPAC Nursing
Policy which enabled nursing mothers to return to work in a healthy and safe
environment for pumping and storing milk for their newborn babies (up to one
year).
 Communicated effectively with diverse populations, clearly articulating desired
goals through oral and written communication, resulting in an increase of training
effectiveness by 27%.
 Mastered Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point, resulting in
higher efficiency while preparing training and correspondence for employees.

 Provided leadership of up to 40 people, maintaining accountability and ensuring
all mandatory Army training requirements were met while exceeding the mission
goals of the organization.
 Ensured all subordinates were regularly guided and given professional
development on job performance, including a plan of action to progress in the job
field, resulting in 12 subordinates being recognized for excellence and 100%
promotion rate.
 Influenced subordinates on the importance of higher education and helped
subordinates develop goals to reach in achieving a degree, resulting in an
increase of enrollment in higher education from 36% to 74%.
 Monitored and assessed the credentialing of Satellite Network Coordinators,
