2. Music/Music Events
My magazine is going to be about music/music events in the North East
in Autumn. I want to use this idea of having it be based around Autumn
because I like the idea of the dark colours and I like the Autumn season
and having music within it. I want to base it around this because it would
be nice of people went out to music events in the Autumn because it will
give people something to do even in the Autumn when it’s cold.
For the front cover, I want there o be one main image and no other
images on the page. I want this because it will make the audience focus
on the model rather than everything else that’s on the page. I want there
to be minimal text on the page because the magazine will be regional and
I want the text to talk, briefly, about the events and that will draw the
audience in to buying and reading the magazine.
Also, for the front cover, I want there to be leaves on it, in the image, so
the audience know the season it is based around and it will also add to
the colours that are going to be on and within the magazine, keeping up
the colour scheme that I want.
3. Music/Music Events
I am going to be setting my magazine around one event that is going on
in the Autumn season. The event will be called ‘The Harvest Moon
Festival’. I like this idea because it adds to the Autumn theme and also
it’s a new event that isn’t around at the moment and it will draw the
audience into reading about the event and maybe going to the event to
see what it’s about.
I want minimal text on the contents page but just enough for the audience
to know what page each story is on and also a little information about
each page and its story. I feel that this will draw the audience more into
reading the articles rather than just flicking through the magazine.
I don’t want too many images because I feel that it will take away the
effectiveness of a regional magazine.
4. Music/Music Events
I am planning on making my music magazine about one main event
because I think that the audience’s attention would be focused on reading
about one event at a time rather than a lot of different events because they
may forget about each one. So if there is one main event, the audience are
more likely to enjoy reading about it and they are also more likely to
remember the event.
I will talk about the event and talk about the different things that will be going
on at the event but I will focus mainly on the two new upcoming artists that
will be playing there so the audience will look out for them if they go to the
event and it will give them something to look forward to if they know about
the music that will be playing there.
I will make this magazine regional by talking about people that are
performing at the event that are from the North East and also I may use
informal language so the audience can relate to it and are more likely to
understand it.
