Narrative of the drama
The narrative of the drama is a linear realist
drama which gives self awareness of using social
media and the consequences of how dangerous it
is if took carelessly.
Story arc of the drama
Beginning
Exposition

Resolution
Open-End resolution of Casey
opening her door and pleading
for her father.
Normal day with Casey in her home
until her friend tells her to check
Nathan’s her tweet.
Casey’s friend Alex gets into Nathan’s
account on Twitter and gives Casey full
control of the account.
Caey then creates a ‘tweet’
embarrassing Nathan over
social media.
Were introduced to the hacker and gains control of Casey’s files, information and forces her to obey the hacker.
Hacker encourages Casey to take
antidepressant(s) to remove
images from being leaked to the
public (Social Media).
Technical Sound
The drama uses diegetic sound to show contrast with the realist narrative. In the
beginning of the drama Casey puts her music on via Spotify and it keeps changing
suspiciously(The fact ‘Mad World’ came on is abit suspicious). The use of this
sound could resemble there’s danger coming as it kept changing without Casey
interfering with it. the drama also uses diegetic sound to show the audience the
tension between casey’s options; either tell her friends the truth about the hacker
and Casey’s photos go viral or she doesn’t tell anyone and the hacker won’t send
them viral. The use of Casey’s Iphone’s vibration makes the realist narrative
maintain.
Technical Camera
The drama cinematographer effectively uses Close up shots to show the heavy
handed moral of the story. The use of close up shown the audience a ‘tug of war’
between the characters, sometimes we would see a close up of the
computer(hacker) and more so for Casey. As the audience we expect that each
time the close up of one of the characters is shown, they are the dominant
character controlling the situation (‘tug of war’). We are also given shot reverse
shots to show the communication between Casey and the mysterious. The shot
reverse shot shows both Casey and her laptop which is effectively used to make
the audience believe the machine is actually a human.
Technical Editing
The drama uses technical editing to enhance the realism of the story. There are
multiple scenes of flashbacks when casey is looking through her old produced
videos and realises she had bullied the people involved. This editing is used to
show the footage of how she was the bully but also to show that there can be
consequences if it had been leaked.
