2. To have a successful magazine cover an image is needed.
Our genre is horror therefore I have tried to cooperate
that with my image. We had a small budget for the props
and costume therefore the idea of what I had in my head
is different to the shots we took. We experimented with
lighting, camera angles and models body language.
In terms of lighting we found that side lighting was the
most effective as it created a mysterious feel to the
character as only half their face is fully visible.
When researching different professional horror magazine
I discovered that most of the images were close ups
therefore I have decided to use the top image. There is
no body language showing as it is a close up of the
models face however when edited and filtered this image
can be made a lot scarier then it seems.
