2. ADDING IN RIPS/SCRATCHES
This is my chosen background with a very rough draft of the
rips/scratches I found. For a start this is good as it gives the magazine
more shades of colors and more features to look at. I will most probably
carry out some research by looking at EMPIRE magazines to see if there
covers are usually this complicated and full.
From these three random EMPIRE magazines they all have a simple
background. Therefore I will be looking to change mine.
3. CREATING THE RIP EFFECT
I found these two rip marks on a
vectorimages989.com and applied
them to my magazine. They were to
compact together and filled up too
much space. I decided that I had to
crop them out individually using the
lasso tool and then edit them one at
a time. This took a lot of time and I
will show you how it was done on
another blog post.
After cropping three of the rips out I
added a few edits and bloody effects
on top to make them more realistic.
4. This is how the final look of the of
rips/scratches ended up being. I am very
happy with how the magazine is looking at
the moment. Below you will see a
“grabanica” folder which is what the vector
of the rip/scratch was. I copied and pasted
it three times to save my self time. To make
the cuts look more realistic I add in
brightness to only the bottom part of the
blood trail to create a realistic shine. I will
be adding in a few more slight changes to
the corners of the page to give It a bit more
light.
