Responsible for duties associated with overall business office focusing primarily on cash flow
through efficient billing and collections processes. Perform and support duties for the Executive
Director. Responsibilities include maintaining Human Resources/Payroll and accounting system,
petty cash, resident funds, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts. Serve as the
liaison between the community and the corporate office and regional staff. Duties include new
hire and termination process, benefits coordinator and marketing.
Feb. 2009 – Feb.2010 - Business Office Coordinator, Physician Mutual Insurance Company,
Decatur, AL
(Business moved to South B’ham and I choose to stay in the local area)
Coordinated insurance business for Alabama, part of Tennessee & Georgia. Worked with 30+
insurance agents to input and change insurance services, worked with underwriting and
physician office to verify medical qualification, maintained confidentiality on all applications. Did
all account receivables, answered phone, took messages, scheduled staff meetings and conference
calls. Maintained agent files and process all new agent and termination paperwork. Help to train
new agents on company software programs, other duties as required by the division manager and
corporate office.
2002 – 2009 – Office Manager, J.R. Extermination, Cullman, AL
(Business closed due to economy)
Did all A/P & A/R accounts, bank deposits, payroll, ordering supplies, collections, answer phone,
take message, end of month close, payroll taxes, maintain ledgers and journals, all new hire
paperwork and processing terminations. All other duties associated with a business office.
