2. Differences between The Netherlans and Holland
The country is called The Netherlands, but it’s divided in 12 provinces two of them
(the most important) are north and south Holland. There are the biggest cities like
Rotterdam or Amsterdam and that’s why the people call to this country Holland.

3. The Netherlands
Geography:
The Netherlands is located in the west part of Europe.It haves the 50% of the
territory below the sea level and have a lot of floods, but they control these they
buildt a lot of floodgates. They also have a very bad climate, it rains two or three
times a week.
Governament:

·Natural gas: They have a huge gas
recources and every year sell €159
bilion of gas
·Agriculture: They basically export
fresh-cut plants, flowers and flower
bulbs.
·Transport: Of merchandise in the
harbours.

regions
·English: official laguage in Saba and
Saint Eustatius
5. Demography: Religion:
The Netherlands is the 64th most populated country in
the world, and as of March 21, 2016, it has a
population of 17.000.000. The country has a
population density of 409 per. km², or over 502 per.

8. Bikes and Mobility
I think the mobility it’s a priority for all but
in Holland they wan’t to save the energy
and don’t contribute to the global pollution,
so they use the bikes. I think it’s a great
idea and we have to do this in Catalonia.
9. Rotterdam
Rotterdam is a city in the Netherlands, located in
South Holland, within the Rhine Meuse Scheldt
river delta at the North Sea. Rotterdam has
approximately 1.4 million people, ranking second
in the Netherlands, just behind Amsterdam.The
port of Rotterdam is the largest cargo port in
Europe and the 10th largest in the world. When we
stay in Rotterdam it was warm week and we
bought a lot of things in shopping centre and we
also go at one market with a lot of food shoops.
We also visite the square houses from Rotterdam,
it was beautiful.
10. Euromast
Euromast tower is a tower to see all Rotterdam city.
It was desigIt’s 100m high but in 1970 they put an
antenna oned by Hugh Maaskant and built between
1958 and 1960. It have got an observatory and a
restaurant. f 85m high and now the tower is 185m
high.

11. Amsterdam
Amsterdam was created by farmers and fishermans.
The first habitants were two guys and a dog. In 1275
the people start to buildt it. In 1300 they built the
defensive wall and then it was an official city. There
the people usually ate cheese, herrings and beer
like Germany. In the canals, there were more than
60 species of fishes. They also had the second
biggest bridge of the country. The houses were a
long the little canals. In the XVII they started doing
beer, because they coudn’t buy it in Germany
because there was a war. Heineken was created at
the same time. The Protestant Church was created
in the S.XVII too and the west church is the most
important. They created the house boats and after
the second world war they built another
neighborhood because the poblation increased.
In 1887 there was the Revolution of the Eel. And
actualy, the houses are inclinated because the city
it’s a swamp and the biggest part of the houses are
old houses. For all the time the colour of the
Netherlands is the orange. Amsterdam also have
250 bridges but Venice a little bit more.
15. Waterworks
Is a system of reservoirs, channels, mains, and pumping and purifying equipment by which a water
supply is obtained and distributed (as to a city).
16. Dutch Family
Dídac’s family:
-I haven’t got a photo.
-When I arrive I stayed with he’s mum, she is so funny and pleasant. We did a
lot of activities.
Whe I go with his dad I thought I am going to be boring in to the father’s house,
but no, it was also funny. He’s dad speak spanish, beacause his mother is from
Madrid.
17. Martí’s family:
-I haven’t got a photo.
-They’re family was very polite, educated and funny. I went to many beautiful
places like the Feyenoord Stadium or the Efteling (an amusement park).
-In my exchance’s house it was very strange because they have the lunch at 12
o’clock and the dinner at 5 o’clock.
