Where the Netherland is located?: 
- This is a European Country. It is 
located along the North Sea, next to 
Western Germany and Northern 
Belgium. Its capital is Amsterdam, but 
its house of government is The Hauge
Geographic Features of The Netherlands: 
• Its major water feature is, of course, the 
North Sea. Also the Netherlands has three 
rivers (Rhine, Waal, Meuse) that acts as a 
natural and a cultural border. In 1134, a 
storm created the archipelago of Zeeland
Climate of The Netherlands: 
The climate of the Netherlands is a 
temperate, marine type of climate. The 
Netherlands experiences cool summers and 
mild winters.
Environment of The Netherlands: 
There are numerous water, air, and marsh 
animals. There are also many kinds of deer 
and fox. Other animals include, but are not 
limited to, the badger, boar, and the common 
beaver. All reptiles and amphibians are 
endangered. The Netherlands natural 
resources include natural gas, petroleum, peat 
moss, limestone, salt, sand and gravel, and 
arable ground(farm land).

Food and Music of The Netherlands: 
Breakfast- fresh bread, cheese, cooked meats, sausage, butter 
chocolate sprinkles, jam or honey, and often a boiled egg. 
Lunch- Same generally as breakfast 
Dinner- Within the house, home cooked meals. Generally do not 
go out of the house to eat food at the local McDonald’s though. 
It helps to eat at the home, that’s probably why they aren’t as 
fat as the common American. 
They usually drink coffee, teas, chocolate/fruit juice 
Their music is the same as ours, they don’t exactly have rap 
there though, due to the lack of African American population 
living in their borders.
Government of The Netherlands: 
The Netherlands is constitutionally monarch 
with The Hague as the house of government.
Economy of The Netherlands: 
Most people work in businesses or huge 
industries. The types of products 
produced include, but are not limited to, 
agriculture, food processing, chemicals, 
petroleum, and electrical machining.
Tourism in The Netherlands: 
Well, if one were by chance to visit the 
Netherlands you could go visit the many 
Dutch windmills or maybe even pick up some 
wooden shoes. You could also go watch a 
futbol game by the Holland team.
Some Famous Dutch People: 
• Vincent Van Gogh – ARTIST: Dutch artist whose work became 
known for its emotional intensity and bold use of color years 
after his death. Also known for his landscapes and his Olive 
Trees series that featured depictions of cypresses in different 
settings. 
• Dirk Kuyt-SOCCER PLAYER :Forward who scored 51 goals for 
Liverpool between 2006 and 2012 and joined the Dutch national 
team in 2004; became a fan favorite and was noted for his team 
spirit, energy, and enthusiasm. 
• Queen Juliana-ROYALTY : Popular monarch who reigned over the 
Netherlands from 1948 to 1980. Indonesia and Suriname both became 
independent from her country while she was in power.

Netherlands: 
1-Delta Project:The Delta Project or Delta Works are a series of 
constructions built between 1950 and 1997 in the provinces of Zeeland 
and South Holland to protect large areas of land from the sea. The 
works consist of dams, sluices, locks, dikes, and storm surge barriers. 
They have been declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern 
World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
2-Maastricht Vrijthof :The Vrijthof is the best-known city 
square in Maastricht, a city in the southern most part of the 
Netherlands. It features the massive Saint Servatius Church 
and Saint Jan’s Cathedral. The Vrijthof regularly hosts large 
festivals at various times throughout the year, including autumn 
and winter festivals.
3-Rijksmuseum: The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the largest 
and most prestigious museum for art and history in the 
Netherlands. It has a large collection of paintings from the 
Dutch Golden Age including works by Vermeer and Rembrandt. 
Until 2013, the museum is being completely renovated, but the 
major masterpieces are still on show.
4-Kinderdijk :More than 1.000 old windmills still exist in the 
Netherlands. The largest concentration of Dutch windmills can 
be found near the village of Kinderdijk (“Children’s dike”). To 
drain the excess water from the polders, which are situated 
below sea-levels, 19 windmills were built around 1740. They have 
been well preserved to the present day and are now popular 
tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
5-Hoge Veluwe: He Hoge Veluwe National Park is one of the 
largest continuous nature reserves in the Netherlands, 
consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands. The 
Kröller-Müller Museum with it large collection of paintings by 
Vincent van Gogh is located within the park. Bicycles are 
available for free to visitors of the Hoge Veluwe, with much of 
the area being inaccessible by car.
6-Keukenhof Gardens: Keukenhof Gardens is the 
world’s largest flower garden, and actually a 
promotion for the Dutch flower industry. 
Approximately seven million flower bulbs are planted 
annually in the park with not only tulips, but also 
hyacinths, daffodils and other spring flowers on 
display. The gardens are open from the last week in 
March to mid-May. Keukenhof is one of the most visit 
tourist attractions in the Netherlands
7-Delft City Hall :The City Hall in Delft is a 
Renaissance style building on the Markt square across 
from the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Originally 
designed by the Dutch architect Hendrick de Keyser, 
it was heavily changed over the centuries and was 
restored in the 20th century to its Renaissance 
appearance.
8-West Frisian Islands :The West Frisian Islands or 
Waddeneilanden in Dutch are a chain of islands in the 
North Sea off the Dutch coast. They continue 
further east as the German East Frisian Islands. The 
islands separate the North Sea from the shallow 
Wadden Sea, with tidal mud flats. Under the 
supervision of licensed guides several islands can be 
reached by walking on the mudflats during low tides. 
On the islands cycling is the most favorable means of 
transport.
9-Leiden Canals :Leiden is known for the oldest 
university in the Netherlands, the birthplace of 
Rembrandt and its beautiful canals. The two branches 
of the Old Rhine enter Leiden on the east and unite in 
the city center which also contains several smaller 
canals. The old center of Leiden is one of the largest 
17th century town centers in the Netherlands, second 
only to Amsterdam.
10-Anne Frank House: The Anne Frank House is a museum with a 
story. It's situated in the center ofAmsterdam and holds the hiding 
place where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary during World War II. 
Anne Frank was a normal girl in exceptional circumstances. For more 
than two years she described the events of her daily life in hiding in her 
diary.

living while hiding from the occupying Germans. Take into 
account, that visiting the Anne Frank House is a moving 
experience, which has already touched millions of people from all 
over the world..

  • 2. Where the Netherland is located?: - This is a European Country. It is located along the North Sea, next to Western Germany and Northern Belgium. Its capital is Amsterdam, but its house of government is The Hauge
  • 3. Geographic Features of The Netherlands: • Its major water feature is, of course, the North Sea. Also the Netherlands has three rivers (Rhine, Waal, Meuse) that acts as a natural and a cultural border. In 1134, a storm created the archipelago of Zeeland
  • 4. Climate of The Netherlands: The climate of the Netherlands is a temperate, marine type of climate. The Netherlands experiences cool summers and mild winters.
  • 5. Environment of The Netherlands: There are numerous water, air, and marsh animals. There are also many kinds of deer and fox. Other animals include, but are not limited to, the badger, boar, and the common beaver. All reptiles and amphibians are endangered. The Netherlands natural resources include natural gas, petroleum, peat moss, limestone, salt, sand and gravel, and arable ground(farm land).

  • 8. Food and Music of The Netherlands: Breakfast- fresh bread, cheese, cooked meats, sausage, butter chocolate sprinkles, jam or honey, and often a boiled egg. Lunch- Same generally as breakfast Dinner- Within the house, home cooked meals. Generally do not go out of the house to eat food at the local McDonald’s though. It helps to eat at the home, that’s probably why they aren’t as fat as the common American. They usually drink coffee, teas, chocolate/fruit juice Their music is the same as ours, they don’t exactly have rap there though, due to the lack of African American population living in their borders.

Also known for his landscapes and his Olive Trees series that featured depictions of cypresses in different settings. • Dirk Kuyt-SOCCER PLAYER :Forward who scored 51 goals for Liverpool between 2006 and 2012 and joined the Dutch national team in 2004; became a fan favorite and was noted for his team spirit, energy, and enthusiasm. • Queen Juliana-ROYALTY : Popular monarch who reigned over the Netherlands from 1948 to 1980. Indonesia and Suriname both became independent from her country while she was in power.
  • 13. 10 Top Tourist Attractions in the Netherlands: 1-Delta Project:The Delta Project or Delta Works are a series of constructions built between 1950 and 1997 in the provinces of Zeeland and South Holland to protect large areas of land from the sea. The works consist of dams, sluices, locks, dikes, and storm surge barriers. They have been declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
  • 14. 2-Maastricht Vrijthof :The Vrijthof is the best-known city square in Maastricht, a city in the southern most part of the Netherlands. It features the massive Saint Servatius Church and Saint Jan’s Cathedral. The Vrijthof regularly hosts large festivals at various times throughout the year, including autumn and winter festivals.
  • 15. 3-Rijksmuseum: The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the largest and most prestigious museum for art and history in the Netherlands. It has a large collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age including works by Vermeer and Rembrandt. Until 2013, the museum is being completely renovated, but the major masterpieces are still on show.
  • 16. 4-Kinderdijk :More than 1.000 old windmills still exist in the Netherlands. The largest concentration of Dutch windmills can be found near the village of Kinderdijk (“Children’s dike”). To drain the excess water from the polders, which are situated below sea-levels, 19 windmills were built around 1740. They have been well preserved to the present day and are now popular tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
  • 17. 5-Hoge Veluwe: He Hoge Veluwe National Park is one of the largest continuous nature reserves in the Netherlands, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands. The Kröller-Müller Museum with it large collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh is located within the park. Bicycles are available for free to visitors of the Hoge Veluwe, with much of the area being inaccessible by car.
  • 18. 6-Keukenhof Gardens: Keukenhof Gardens is the world’s largest flower garden, and actually a promotion for the Dutch flower industry. Approximately seven million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park with not only tulips, but also hyacinths, daffodils and other spring flowers on display. The gardens are open from the last week in March to mid-May. Keukenhof is one of the most visit tourist attractions in the Netherlands
  • 19. 7-Delft City Hall :The City Hall in Delft is a Renaissance style building on the Markt square across from the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Originally designed by the Dutch architect Hendrick de Keyser, it was heavily changed over the centuries and was restored in the 20th century to its Renaissance appearance.
  • 20. 8-West Frisian Islands :The West Frisian Islands or Waddeneilanden in Dutch are a chain of islands in the North Sea off the Dutch coast. They continue further east as the German East Frisian Islands. The islands separate the North Sea from the shallow Wadden Sea, with tidal mud flats. Under the supervision of licensed guides several islands can be reached by walking on the mudflats during low tides. On the islands cycling is the most favorable means of transport.
  • 21. 9-Leiden Canals :Leiden is known for the oldest university in the Netherlands, the birthplace of Rembrandt and its beautiful canals. The two branches of the Old Rhine enter Leiden on the east and unite in the city center which also contains several smaller canals. The old center of Leiden is one of the largest 17th century town centers in the Netherlands, second only to Amsterdam.

It's situated in the center ofAmsterdam and holds the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary during World War II. Anne Frank was a normal girl in exceptional circumstances.
