This presentation provides an overview to the Marshall Direct Fund's mission, activities, projects, and ways for you to support the organization!

1. Our Mission To improve relations between the West and the Muslim world by working together to alleviate poverty and illiteracy via sustainable educational and economic development.

2. Pakistan: Most Dangerous Place on Earth? According to the UN, 74% of Pakistan’s 180 million people live on less than $2/day Over 8 million of 20 million school-age children in Pakistan are not in primary school – result of poverty and insufficient govt. investment in education UNDP estimated literacy in 2009 to be 49.9%, for females even lower 41% of the population is under age 15 According to the UN, in 40 years Pakistan is estimated to be the 4th largest country on earth

3. The Taliban’s Recruitment of Children The Taliban and other terrorist organizations provide poor families incentives - free education, meals, clothing, and shelter to recruit children – then indoctrinate - OR buy them directly from child trafficking rings for up to $14,000 – Washington Times Boys at a madrassa in Lahore
