  9. 9. KELLY ROGERS SECRETARY, SHE’S THE FIRST {SAINT JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY} At the Leadership Summit, we connected with students from across the country. • The mission of STF serves as a reminder to be grateful for education • Utilizing campus chapters allows STF to reach a huge audience of young people who are ready and willing to make a difference in the world. • The campus ambassadors of STF provide extensive support and guidance when students wish to start their own chapter, and continued growth opportunities are given as well. • I've created an vast network of peers with a shared interest to support girls' education. These connections have allowed me to grow as an individual and to learn so much more about the world we live in.

  13. 13. BREAKOUT QUESTIONS • How do we help students to balance their new-found ideals and ambitions with the traditions and rules of their family and/or society? • How can we further engage the government in our initiatives? Frequently, governments do not formally recognize urban settlements (and do not prioritize uneasily accessed rural settlements), thereby separating these individuals from social services. • Education for what? i.e. What resources/further education can a child access after middle school? How can we continue to invest in students’ education? • How do we invest deeply and thoughtfully in the leadership of students spread out across many states and countries, given financial constraints?
