2. What is the mass media?
• The mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass
communication. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of
outlets.
• The mass media is a matter that touches all our lives. Without cease, virtually every day since early
childhood, it has been playing an important role in forming our personality, enriching our background
knowledge, providing us with information of any kind.
