Achievements:
In my current position I have been in the unenviable positon of having to manage the company
during the director’s illness and subsequent unfortunate death. To then continue to managing the
company whilst keeping sales and profits at a stable level while his spouse established a buyer for the
business. As with any small business this was only achieved with the help and support of a loyal and
hardworking workforce.

Management Accountant, PGB Hose Services Ltd t/as Pirtek Bristol, Avonmouth
Duties:
• Produce Management Accounts in a timely manner by extracting information from Sage and
exporting into Excel spreadsheet. Calculate accruals, prepayment and depreciation to
present to Director and Franchisor.
• Formulate yearly budgets, cashflow forecast and profit and loss assumptions in line with
company criteria to achieve a workable projection of future sales and profit.
• Collate and produce sales, profit and costing reports on a regular basis to demonstrate
company is at optimum profitability.
• Administer Credit control via email, fax and telephone to ensure debtor days are kept to a
minimum.
• Process bought ledger by checking invoices against purchase order system, authorise
payment to ensure suppliers are paid correctly in a timely manner.
• Oversee stock control through purchase ordering system and tracking sales to make sure
stock is kept at an optimum level.
• Control job costing to confirm all costs are related to the correct job to safeguard against
under or overcharge.
• Monitor servers, computers and PDA’s on a daily basis. Liaise with IT provider when
necessary to maintain the operating system is secure and fully operational.
• Take jobs from customer via telephone and email, distributing between area engineers or
pass to fellow depots when outside our area, whilst keeping customers informed of any
delays or problems.
• Check engineers’ worksheets on a daily basis to ensure correct information is stated and job
adheres to that customers deal and specifications, chase for order numbers and produce
invoice.
• Process overtime, commission, wages and salaries to forward to payroll provider to
guarantee staff are paid correctly and on time.
• Daily control and administer of petty cash and bank reconciliations to ensure accounts
balance.
• Administer Health & Safety, Environmental policy, ISO90010, ISO14001 and OJSAS18001 to
ensure we retain our accreditation

9 month temp contract in human resources. Help with setting up new personnel computer system.
Writing report templates and document layouts. Process payroll and personnel administration.
Granada Vending Service. Aztec West 1993-1995
Assistant account manager. Supervising 17 staff administering the vending accounts for numerous
companies covering the whole of the South West Region.
Hartwells Clifton. Bristol 1989-1995
Office Manager and assistant to the accountant. Covering accounts and administration for all
departments and companies within the group.
Mitie Group. Wrington 1985-1989
Assistant Management Accountant.
Administer accounts and produce management accounts for the various companies within the group.
Run payroll and human resources of these companies covering around 60 employees.
