My cover explains why I am right for the job, which is advertisingsale
executive. Beforestarting the cover letter I madesureI read scanned
over all the information provided, asthis is what the business is
asking for and I know that they lookinganswersto their questions
which are the qualifications required to the job. My peer said my
cover wasdetailed enoughbut I could have furthered my pointby
going into morewhy I am the right the candidate for the job. I had
gone over some positivesabout me plushow it would benefitthe
businessbut perhaps I did not go over the negatives as much which
would makethe employer decideI am biased, which is not true, in
fact I am almost the opposite. So this would beselling myself as a
differentperson butthis could be a way to sell you more. I read two
pointsthat stated (desirable) which meansit is not specifically
needed, however I capitalized on that pointby explainingwhy I have
them such as “passion for TV and film” and I detailed what I do in my
daily routinewhich relates to this which sells myself moreand the
employer would morelikely employ merather than someonewho
doesn’thave the desired options if each candidate has all the other
requirements. I madesure I wasrelevant to all the information that
was provided so it looked as if I did not go of track, however this is
also a weakness as the employer may look for the applicant to have a
morecreative response. This is because the employerswantto look
for something differentthat they will remember as if a huge amount
of applicants have similar cover letters while a certain few who have
a uniquecover letter would be morelikely to receive an interview.
My endingwasa little vagueas I do not really concludemy cover
letter in a huge amountof detail which is a weaknessand it does not
fully sum up the points I discussed. I did thank the employer for
readingwhich is importantas this shows I have mannerstowardsthe
workplacerather than justendingthe Cover letter with yours
sincerely, which would be outof place. Overall I think I was relevant
to the business but I did not referencethe workplaceenoughand
how I would benefitit but rather I justexplained my positives
without evaluatingmy points.
