4. The Arduino Uno is a
microcontroller board based on
the ATmega328 .
It has 14 digital input/output pins
(of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs)
6 analog inputs.
16 MHz crystal oscillator.
USB connection.
Power jack.
ICSP header.
Reset button.

6. Arduino is a cross-platoform program.
You’ll have to follow different instructions for your personal OS.
Check on the Arduino site for the latest instructions
programmed using the Arduino
programming language
(based on Wiring ) and the Arduino
development environment (based on
Processing ).
Arduino projects can be stand-alone or
they can communicate with software on
running on a computer (e.g. Flash,
Processing, MaxMSP).
7. Now you’re actually ready to “burn”
your first program on the arduino
board. To select “blink led”, the
physical translation of the well known
programming “hello world”, select
Once you have your skecth you’ll see
something very close to the screenshot on
the right.
In Tools>Board select Now you have to go
to Tools>SerialPort
and select the right serial port, the one
arduino is attached to

12. Tiny and lightweight with high output power.
Servo can rotate approximately 180 degrees
(90 in each direction), and works just like the standard kinds but smaller.
13. You can use any servo code, hardware or library to control these servos.
Good for beginners who want to make stuff move without building a motor
controller with feedback & gear box, especially since it will fit in small
places.
It comes with a 3 horns (arms) and hardware.
Position "0" (1.5 ms pulse) is
middle,
"90" (~2ms pulse) is middle,
is all the way to the right,
"-90" (~1ms pulse) is all the way
to the left.
14. L293D is a dual H-bridge motor
driver integrated circuit (IC). Motor
drivers act as current amplifiers since
they take a low-current control signal
and provide a higher-current signal.
This higher current signal is used to
drive the motors.
L293D contains two inbuilt H-bridge
driver circuits.
In its common mode of operation,
two DC motors can be driven simultaneously, both in forward and reverse
direction.
The motor operations of two motors can be controlled by input logic
at pins 2 & 7 and 10 & 15.
Input logic 00 or 11 will stop the corresponding motor. Logic01 and10 will
rotate it in clockwise and anticlockwise directions, respectively.
