The universe is made up of :
• Ordinary visible matter (stars , planets and
inter-galactic gas):0.4%
• Normal non-luminous matter (black holes , inter
galactic gas :3.6 %
• Dark matter :21%
• Dark energy:75 %

5. Origin of universe
• In 1948 George Gamow proposed that the universe was
created , after the large explosion , the Big Bang .
• The theory explains that 13.7 billion years ago , all matter in the
universe was concentrated in a very small area.
• When the explosion occurred , the matter was propelled in all
directions .
• Consequently, the matter was concentrated in certain areas of
space , leading to the first stars and galaxies . Since then ,
universe is evolving.

6. CONFIRMATION OF BIG
BANG:
• Cosmic background radiations:
• Studying a very sensitive microwave receiver , scientist realized there was
strange radiation coming from all points in space.
• It is electromagnetic radiation that fills the universe.
cosmic background is radiation left over from early developmen of universe and it is
the proof of big bang theory.
• Cosmic microwave radiations is glow of the big bang and microwave come
as result of expansion of universe , which shows that it had beginning.
11. DARK MATTER:
It constitute 21 % of universe ,we don’t know its composition
because :
• It cant be seen.
• It doesn’t reflect and emit light or radiation.
Its behavior is same as gravitational normal matter.
