none he's ever known. But just as he realizes he's falling for her,
mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. David learns he is up
against the agents of Fate itself - the men of The Adjustment Bureau
- who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David

3. Hero
• One of the main characters David Norris (Matt Damon) is the
obvious hero in this thriller movie.
• He dresses smartly and is seen as an important and liked
figure by the public. He is also successful and has ambitions
for the future.
• Through the course of the movie you can notice how his
appearance slowly deteriorates (smartness etc.) and so
appears to be more rugged and carefree.
4. Hero Continued
• Although David Norris is the hero in this movie, he is also to
some extents the victim as well.
• He gets dragged into finding out that he can’t control his
future and so becomes somewhat the victim
• By the end of the film he discovers a way to solve the enigma
and lives happily ever after.
5. Victim
•
•
•
•
Elise Sallas is the main victim in this movie.
Being a woman she appears as the ‘damsel in distress’
She is a ballet dancer and so can be seen as dainty and fragile
She gets dragged into this predicament and ends up being in danger and so needs
help
• her appearance is very feminine and she dresses in girly clothes (dresses, skirts, low
cut chest line etc.)
• She also has long brown hair and so this could again show her feminine side
• She also wears limited makeup showing that she’s natural and perhaps innocent and
unknowing of her true possible fate.
6. Villain
• The villain in this movie is more-so a collection of people
• They dress smartly in dark clothing that looks similar and also all wear hats slightly
covering their face showing a more mysterious outlook compared to most normal
people
• All of the villains are slim and lean and so can be seen as a physical threat
• They overall (at a quick glance) look plain and so would go unseen , therefor being a
possible threat in crowded places
• All of the villains (but one) are clean shaven and so look official and traditional,
(possibly showing traditional views and following the rules) The man that does not,
ends up helping the hero and victim. (This could show that he has a modern and
contempary outlook on this system and so breaks the rules)
7. Our Opening
• Our main character ‘Grace’ is a simple looking girl that wears plain
clothes and has an overall natural look
• This could show that she is young , innocent and unknowing of her
true situation (her past)
• This is similar to the Victim in ‘The Adjustment Bureau’
• Grace will also be somewhat the hero in our film because through
out the film she discovers her past and manages to solve any
enigmas and sort our her problems
•
• This is similar to the hero in ‘The Adjustment Bureau’
