In this PowerPoint tutorial you will:
• Develop your own Jeopardy gameboard
• Create hyperlinks to your questions
• Create hyperlinks back to the gameboard
• Complete a review game for any topic and level

34. Step 1: Open Microsoft PowerPoint
Double click on the Microsoft PowerPoint Logo.
This logo is often found on your desktop.
If not, you can “search” for the software in your
computer to access it that way.

35. Step 2: Create a new PowerPoint Document
Select “Blank Presentation”

36. Step 3: Create a Blank Slide
Select “Layout” from the “Home” ribbon
Select “Blank”

37. Step 4: Mirror the Jeopardy Color Scheme
Use Google to find a shade of “Jeopardy Blue”
This will be used as the background for all slides
Copy and paste a blank, blue rectangle into the first slide

38. Step 5: Creating the Slide Background
Click on one of the white circles in the corner of the blue rectangle
Pull on the white circle until it is in the corner of the slide
Repeat for other white circles until entire background of the slide is blue
Make many duplicates of this slide to use later

39. Step 6: Duplicate Your Template Slide
Your completely blue slide will appear in the “slide master”
The slide master is located in the bar on the left hand side of the screen
Right click on your blue template slide
Select “Duplicate Slide” (this will make an exact copy of the slide)
Repeat many times --you can do this whenever you need a new, blank slide

40. Step 7: Find a Jeopardy Logo

Use Google Image search to find a Jeopardy Logo of your choice
The lettering of this logo should NOT be blue (it will blend with your blue background)

From the Google Image search, right click on the logo you choose
Select “Copy image”
In your presentation, right click on the first slide
Select “Paste”

42. Step 9: Begin to Remove Logo Background

Triple click on the logo image in your title screen
This will engage “Picture Tools” and display this on the ribbon
Click on “Remove Background”
“Background Removal” mode is used to get rid of the background

Anything highlighted in purple by the software will be removed
Keep the lettering by marking the letters with this feature
Remove more of the background with this feature
Click “Keep Changes” when finished to remove background

On slide 2, select “Insert” on the ribbon
Select “Table”
Drag the cursor to create a table
The table should have as many columns as you have topics to review
The table should have as many rows as the number of questions asked per topic +1

Drag the white dots in the corners of the table so that it covers most of the slide
Within “Table Tools”, “Design” the table so that it is blue– like the Jeopardy board

Type your first topic in the top left cell of the table
Continuing horizontally, type your topic headers in the top row of the table

Highlight the top row of the table and right click
Center the text
Increase the font size so that the topic headers fill most of the cells

In the remaining rows of the table insert monetary values
The first row should have the lowest monetary value
The monetary values should increase down the columns
Center and increase the text to fill the cells

Ensure that you have 2blank, blue slides for every question you have
Using the “Layout” feature, make Slide 3 a “Section Header” Layout

Type the lowest monetary value question for Topic 1 in the largest text box on Slide 3
Center all of the text and change the font color to white

Format Slide 4 with the “Section Header” Layout.
Type the answer to the question on Slide 3 in the largest text box
Google Search to find an image of Alex Trebek that you like
Copy and paste the image onto this slide, removing any distracting backgrounds

Right click on the image
Select “Hyperlink”
