19. PRODUCTS OF COMPANY
• PRIMERS:
undercoat is a preparatory coating put on materials before
painting ,ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface
• BASECOAT:
typically the first layer of paint or other coating material
basecoat type (water-based or solvent-based) depends on
the type of top or finishing coat, whether shellac, enamel,
lacquer
19
20. Solid paints have no sparkle effects except the color
Metallic paints contain aluminum flakes to create a
sparkling and grainy effect, generally referred to as a
metallic look
• CLEARCOAT:
transparent layer of paint used to cover the colored coat.
last coat of paint ,between 30 and 80 micron.
• HARDENERS:
component of certain types of mixtures foe hardening the
mixture
• THINNERS:
substance for thinning the mixture
20
21. APPLICATIONS OF PRODUCTS
• PRIMERS :
finishing paint to adhere ,
on dirty surfaces which cannot be cleaned
serves as a leveler
• BASECOAT :
provides color to the top or final coating color
enhances the appearance of the overall paint.
cover minor imperfections
21
22. • CLEARCOAT:.
oxidation of the colored coat
change the reflective index
changing the level ,thickness and type of gloss
• HARDENERS :
to increase the resilience of the mixture
as a curing component.
either a reactant or a catalyst
make an epoxy resin useful
• THINNERS :
Adjust the viscosity of paint
regulate the drying time and evaporation 22
