Dear Parents
The new term, albeit a very different one, starts today, Monday April 20th
. I sincerely hope
that you had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday with your family but more importantly I
hope you’re safe and well in these unprecedented times. I am sure you will appreciate that
the new term will be very different and will present new challenges. I would like to assure
you that we will do all we can, with your help, to make sure your children receive the best
possible access to their learning and education. By working together, we will ensure that
our young people continue on their appropriate curricular pathway despite the inevitable
disruptions.
In the primary sector work will continue to be set using email and Seesaw as prior to the
Easter break. I understand that work has been set for the start of this week by Mrs Dennison
for the Upper Primary class and Mrs Evans for the Lower Primary class.
For secondary school aged learners, work will be published on the School Blog. The students
will have a week to complete tasks from the week the work was posted on the School Blog.
If the work is set for a number of weeks, then your child can provide a brief update on their
progress in completing the task each week. To help spread the work out, the division of
subjects will be as follows:
Monday: Sciences, Maths, English, Technology, P.E. and Art
Wednesday: Social Subjects, Modern Languages, Music, HWB etc.
For S4 students we will continue to provide updates on SQA developments.
A great deal of uncertainty surrounds the current situation but we will work together to get
the best possible outcomes for our young people. Please get in touch with myself with any
concerns.
All the very best to you and your family,
Andrew King
