The estimator then discusses the project with the client, answering questions and highlighting important details, allowing the client to review and tweak pricing before submitting. The estimating team analyzes project documents, identifies the scope of work, and assigns an estimator, who takes measurements and calculations which are reviewed through a quality assurance process. Suppliers are then sent requests for pricing on behalf of the client. A submission letter is written covering any risks, inclusions, exclusions or assumptions.
