presentation for my LO4 pitch

1. Unit 16 LO4 Presentation

2. Adventure for the Amulet
Little things can have a lot of importance.
- Length will be around 15 minutes long to pack in all of the adventure elements to
it.
- Need to make sure that the film flows nicely and doesn’t stop abruptly so I have to
make the film quite long because of this.
- Target audience will be of both genders to increase audience and because the
characters are able to relate to them as well. Around B to C2 on the NRS Scale and
an explorer on the Young and Rubicam Scale.
- Similar to the goonies in terms of style and going to be shot with a modern filter
and 35mm lens due to budget.
- Will be part of a short series of films in a clip or something similar to the sort.

3. Key Characters in the film
- Matthew, age 17 and attending college and is in his last year of school, has a part
time job and is best friends with Benjamin due to the fact that he has known him all
of his life.
- Benjamin, age 17 and also currently unemployed as of the moment as he has
decided to not attend college to study and wanted to go into full time
employment.
- Emilia, age 14 and good friends with Matthew through the means of parents being
really good friends with each other. Quite shy in terms of her character and
personality traits.
- Kiera, age 16 and also attending college and is the sister of Emilia so therefore that
is how she know everyone really well.
- Cole, age 18 and the eldest of the group and has really good relations with
Matthew and Benjamin. Classified as the silly and the odd one in the group as well
due to his personality traits.

4. Main Synopsis
- Summary of Act 1:
- They find out that an artefact has
been stolen from a museum that is
very ancient.
- Everyone seems to care but Matthew
as he never really knew the full story
behind it.
- He then gets told by the group that it
could cause a curse upon the city.
- They come across a mysterious man
that asks them if they are talking
about it, which Matthew has
suspicions about.
- Once they finish the conversation, he
walks away with the amulet in his
pocket…
- Summary of Act 2:
- Matthew goes to chase this mysterious
man as he turns the corner, but once he
turns the corner he ends up
disappearing.
- Most people do not believe him until
Benjamin says for them to trust him
cause he doesn’t lie.
- They meet up the next day and then
realise that the curse has already been
started and is circulating around the
town.
- The man dropped a map as he
disappeared the day before with the
location of the amulet and himself on it
to which they follow.
- As they set on the adventure, the villain
set his sidekick out to try and stop them
to which they end up tying him up and
he loses the battle against them.
- Finally, they find the location to set
upon their final battle.

5. Main Synopsis (Continued)
- Summary of Act 3:
- The group encounter the lair and the main villain is surprised when they enter that they
had got past his best sidekick.
- He threatens to them that they shouldn’t go near him or bad things will happen.
- They don’t listen and start to fight.
- Just before the Amulet is used again to finish the curse, the group manage to stop it
from happening and revert the curse once and for all.

7. Mistaken Incarceration
Sometimes two personalities cross, For the wrong reasons…
- The length of the film is going to be around 10 minutes long.
- The story should be action packed in order to increase audience not getting bored
and having blank scenes.
- Target audience should be around the ages of 16-25 with a working class of
around the C1 and the C2 range and on the Young and Rubicam 4Cs scale it will be
a part of the mainstream audience and the succeeder audience as well.
- It will have a normal colour palette and also be shot on 35mm lens due to the
budget that I will have.
- Potentially will be a part of a short film series and potentially on less mainstream
website.

8. Key Characters in the film
- Michael, in his 20s and a martial artist. He knows how to fight his way out of bad
situations. He lives alone and makes a decent amount of money so that he can
fend for himself, he is best mates with Theo.
- Theo, also in his 20s and best mates with Michael, works for a media and
telecommunications company and makes a very good amount of money for living.
He also lives alone and helps provide for Michael if he needs.
- The criminal, famous for kidnapping over 20 people and has been in prison for 30
years, knows his mistake and will do anything to be released from jail.

9. Main Synopsis
- Summary of Act 1:
- Starts off with Michael going to meet up
with Theo at the pub after not seeing
each other in so long.
- He arrives there and then gets ambushed
by police shortly after arriving there with
no reason as to why.
- He fights them off and runs away with
Theo bamboozled about the whole thing.
- As he runs home he sees on the news
that someone had been caught robbing a
bank that looks exactly like him. He
believes that he has been mistaken for
someone else.
- Summary of Act 2:
- He speaks to his parents about the whole
situation and they are worried for him,
therefore he has to disguise himself in
public.
- Whilst that whole conversation is going
on, the police have called upon their
most notorious kidnapper in order to
bring him to them.
- He accepts the offer and goes off to find
him.
- He manages to kidnap his best mate
Theo and take him to a warehouse in
which he is threatened to message
Michael to come to the location or
otherwise he will be shot.
- He comes and Michael rushes to see him
tied up in the chair…

10. Main Synopsis (Continued)
- Summary of Act 3:
- The kidnapper and criminal emerges from the darkness and is told that he either has to
come with him or his friend will die.
- He tries to explain he is innocent and that he has been mistaken but the criminal doesn’t
believe him so he goes to kill Theo.
- Just as he is about to pull the trigger he knocks the gun out of his hand and then has a
fight with him to which he emerges victorious and leaves him there injured.
- After they both exit the warehouse, they take him back to the police and they are
surprised and shocked that they mixed them up.
- They were going to lock him up but after he shows them the criminal, he lets him go and
live a normal life.
